Petroleum product is one commodity use at all times for continues productivity in the industries, such as; Transport, Manufacturing, Mining, etc. This means, petroleum products are the prime mover on which production spins on and that matter must be in continuous supply to all sectors. The types of petroleum products use in the industries are; Premium Motor Spirit (PMS)-petrol, Automotive Gas Oil (AGO)-diesel, Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK)-Aviation fuel, Residual Fuel Oil (RFO)-Black oil, Bitumen, Premix fuel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
However, the country have been experiencing periodic short supply of the product in the market, hence slowing down productivity by the industries.
As it is, there is a need for the stakeholders or the managers to determine the best or standard method to use in order to keep or maintain continuous supply of the product in the market and avoid its short supply. Continuous supply of petroleum product in the Ghanaian market demand a variety of inputs to make it available. This includes forecasting, warehousing and supply chain process management. Despite the fact that, these three elements are for the availability of the product, this study is emphasizing on the supply chain management aspect. This is not to under estimate the need for forecasting and warehousing.

TITLE:
Effect of career information on knowledge of physiotherapy among  science students in selected senior high schools in Greater Accra.

Purpose : To determine the accuracy and the source of the knowledge of physiotherapy among senior high school students.
Relevance
Making an informed career choice is key to both personal and professional development in the advancement of a career.
Participants
Convenience sampling method was used to select a total of 325 public and private senior high school students.

Methods
The experimental study design employed convenience sampling method to select a total of 325 public and private senior high school students .A self structured questionnaire in close –question format was used to determine the student’s accuracy of knowledge and the sources of information about physiotherapy, after which a lecture on physiotherapy was given to one group of students the other group received no lectures. A second questionnaire was administered after a two week period.


Analysis
The SPSS version 13.0 was used to analyze the data. Descriptive statistics was used to summarize the data. Student Unpaired t-test was used to determine statistical differences between the mean of the variables. Significant level was set at 0.05 alpha.


Results
71.1% of the students had some information  about physical therapy. The physiotherapy task that most students (84%) identified was "instructs a patient in exercises." The task least familiar which the students (26%), was `works in industries." Sources of information  about physiotherapy was media (73.6%) with 54.6% being television. Significant differences were found with the public  students being more accurate in their knowledge of physiotherapy (mean score of 11.1 on a scale of 0.0 -14. 0). There was no significant difference in the accuracy of knowledge of physiotherapy in gender and seniority in both groups.


Conclusions
There is no significant difference between students who receive the career information and those who did not. There seems to be misconceptions about certain aspects of the profession.


Implications

Periodic education of the public particularly key stakeholders to the profession is crucial to effectively market the profession in the right way.

The relationship between risk culture and organisational performance has engaged the attention of researchers after the Global Financial Crisis of 2008. Extant studies on risk culture and organisation performance suggest risk culture has an effect on organisational performance. Unfortunately these studies are few and are concentrated on developed countries. Relying on the Financial Stability Board’s (FSB) risk culture model, due to its comprehensive coverage of all factors contributing to an effective risk management in an organisation as well as its simplicity, this study examined the relationship between risk culture and business performance in Ghana which is a developing country. Organisational performance was examined using both financial and non-financial measures. All factors of the two main variables of risk culture and organisational performance were measured using the Five-Point Likert Scale and were analysed using descriptive statistical measures. The data was obtained from the nineteen (19) banks listed on the Ghana Club 100 representing about 70% of the total market share of the Ghanaian Banking Industry, with both local and foreign origins. The analysis was based on 19 completed questionnaires, one (1) each from each respondent and interview responses from eleven (11) respondents. Individual respondents were purposively selected from risk related departments within the banks. The study revealed that there was no significant differences among the banks in terms of the risk culture determinants and organisational performance measures. In all cases, leadership action or inaction was identified as the attribute with the strongest potential for affecting the development an effective risk culture. Overall, there was a positive correlation between Risk Culture and Organisational Performance in the Banking Industry in Ghana. Finally, a generic Risk Culture Framework (RCF) was developed to facilitate the development of effective risk cultures across all organisations.

Corporate governance has been a subject of much interest for several decades, as corporate failures continue to shake business establishments all over the world. News of failing companies and sometimes the upheavals in an entire industry in many countries has become a major concern for international business law researchers and practitioners. A recent case is the challenges of the Ghanaian banking industry, which has led to the collapse of nine Banks in the spate of two years. This study presents an empirical survey on the topic of corporate governance and an insight into the recent banking crisis in Ghana. To understand the international legal and business dynamics of the subject, the study provides a comparative study of the corporate governance law and practice in the banking industry in Ghana and the United Kingdom. It explores the governance framework in the industry in Ghana in the face of recent challenges faced by the market and compares it with the UK’s corporate governance framework. It identifies best practices based on corporate governance policies, structures and practices in relation to the overall business jurisprudence of both countries. Further, it seeks to answer whether the recent collapse of several banks in Ghana is attributable to weak corporate governance law and practice in the industry. Drawing from several company failures in the past, the study seeks to illustrate underlying governance weaknesses and the possible lessons to be learnt. Finally, the study emphasises the positive relationship between corporate governance and the general wellbeing of businesses.

This paper examines the effect of interest rates on exchange rate volatilities in Ghana. It utilizes the Quarterly Time Series dataset spanning 2000 Quarter 1 to 2017 Quarter 2 and the Autoregressive Distributed Lag model as well as the Vector Error Correction Model to investigate the long-run and short-run relationships between the variables. The results showed that in the long-run model, exchange rate volatility was seen to be influenced by money supply, inflation, Central Bank's policy rate, and the Ghana Stock Exchange composite index. However, in the short-run model, exchange rate volatility was found to be significantly influenced by its past values and the Central Bank's policy rate.
