A 2-minute walkthrough. klipa is running right now - and it already works out of the box. Everything below is optional: the defaults are set up for you, so you can close this and just start copying if you like.
klipa runs as a tiny clipboard icon in the top-right of your screen, next to Wi-Fi and the clock. There is no window, no dock icon, no onboarding form. If you can see the clipboard glyph up there, you are all set.
Every time you copy something (text, an image, anything), klipa remembers it. Click the menu bar icon, and your last few entries drop down. Click any entry to copy it back to the clipboard. Then paste like you normally would (⌘ V).
Want more (or fewer) entries in that list? Open Show in dropdown and pick 10, 25, 50, or 100. Default is 25.
Under Menu bar in the dropdown, pick what appears in the status bar. Three options besides the default clipboard glyph:
The temperature modes make two small HTTPS calls (approximate location from IP, current temperature from open-meteo). Icon-only and Date make zero network calls.
The Keep awake submenu stops the machine from sleeping for 5 min up to 5 hours, or indefinitely. Toggle it on when you are on a long download or a video call and turn it off when you are done.
The direct-download build is free in full for 7 days. After that
an Unlock full version item appears in the menu; buy once on
Ko-fi and you are emailed
your signed license (a short block of text, also attached as a
.klipa file). To activate, copy that license to your
clipboard and click Activate - klipa verifies it offline and
unlocks, yours forever, no subscription. The Mac App Store build
handles payment through Apple instead, so it has no trial at all.
