so, y'know what i hate? going for an interview, having amazing feedback (using words like 'overwhelmingly impressed' and such), going for a second interview, feeling it went really well, basically being told in not as many words that the job is yours, and then getting told that they were looking for other qualifications you didn't have. yeah.

and then three hours later finding out you scored 47 out of 100 on your mystery shop, having your boss who supposedly loves you call you at home and yell at you for fifteen minutes, threaten your job and make you cry. yeah. love that too.

in spite of that, though, i have to say yesterday was overall a good day. linds and i went to pick out our christmas tree, which is perfect and beautiful and now standing decorated in the living room. after i leave here i'm going home to wrap my presents and put them under it so it can look even more festive and i can take pictures to share. it's such a cute little tree, and we only paid like $30 for it. it's really nice to feel like this apartment is home; despite my worries about it being too soon to move in, i think it is going to work out. last night we got sandwiches and cookies for dinner and just hung out, watching reno 911 (which is a fucking AMAZING show, homg) and veronica mars by the light of the tree. an evening of relatively no stress (barring the call from bbuster which was fairly early on in the evening) which is so hard to come by for both of us... it was exactly what both of us needed.

my christmas shopping is all but done. i have to wait till payday, sadly, to get my dad's girlfriend's present, but apart from that everyone is done. i'll be doing my holiday cards today and tomorrow, sending them out on monday (i hope) so that'll be out of the way and hopefully they'll get to their destinations by christmas. my only thing left to semi-stress about is what to get lindsay's parents, since we'll be there on christmas day i can't show up empty handed. peglegmeggs suggested a fancy tin full of cookies i make (and but damn do i have like eight million awesome cookie recipes) and i definitely want to bring flowers as well. any other thoughts? i thought maybe a bottle of sparkling cider or something.... i hate meeting the parents, seriously, given my track record with people's parents (not even girlfriends' parents, but just parents in general) i'm afraid they're going to hate me. >_>;;;;;

anyway. hope everyone's week is winding down well, and that everyone in finals or midterms or whatnot isn't tearing out their hair with stress. :) love!

am making mood set. just another way to distract myself from the fact that i am not yet back at school. but i did hang out with my dad today, which was really nice. he hadn't seen rotk yet, so i remedied that, and he loved it. :) i love being with people watching it for the first time... it's so cool.

usually9_15 is a bum and not responding to IMs. you stood me up, biznatch, and more importantly you stood percy up. he's mad at you now. :P

how many days till friday? halfdreams, i mean it now, don't forget the tequila... i'm gonna need it. ^_^

crystalshatter and ardavana rock my life, for various reasons, but i think they both know why. ^__^ lena, can i just say gleeful again? it was funny in my head, okay, shut up.
