In both the cases the tness functions are developed using cavity method for the analysis of microstrip antenna and the GA code was developed using C++ language. The results are veri ed by comparison with the results obtained using MATLAB and some results are supported by experimental verication.
Portable wireless devices capable of forming ad-hoc wireless networks have spurred significant in... more Portable wireless devices capable of forming ad-hoc wireless networks have spurred significant interest in the design and analysis of power-efficient schemes. This paper investigates energy efficiency for both non-persistent and ppersistent CSMA, two protocols popularly applied in current wireless networks. It is found that the non-persistent CSMA can be configured to obtain maximum probability of success of message transmission when more than two nodes are ready to transmit at the same time slot. The energy efficiency of such a non-persistent CSMA configuration is compared to that of p-persistent CSMA which assumes that not more than two nodes transmit at any time slot.

The investigations on two new short-circuited microstrip patch antennas, which are able to radiat... more The investigations on two new short-circuited microstrip patch antennas, which are able to radiate dual frequencies at GPS and Bluetooth frequency bands, are reported. One of these antennas is combination of two square patch sections and the other is combination of two circular patch sections, both of which are grounded by shorted pins. Using these antennas, by properly choosing the positions of shorted pins, good impedance matching can be obtained at both the frequencies. The dual frequency natures of the shorted patchs, theoretically obtained using IE3D software, are verified by measurement.
