1. What is Keeply?

Keeply is a personal bookmark manager available at keeply.tools and as a browser extension. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is stored.

2. Data we collect

• Account information — your email address and name, provided when you sign up. Authentication is handled by Clerk (clerk.com).
• Bookmark data — URLs, page titles, personal notes, folder names, and tags that you choose to save.
• API keys — hashed API keys you generate for programmatic or extension access. The raw key is shown once and never stored.

3. Browser extension

The Keeply browser extension stores your API key locally in your browser's synced extension storage (chrome.storage.sync). This key is used solely to authenticate requests to api.keeply.tools when you save a bookmark. No browsing history or page content is collected beyond what you explicitly choose to save.

4. How we use your data

• To provide and operate the Keeply service.
• To power full-text search across your bookmarks (via a self-hosted MeiliSearch instance).
• To authenticate you and secure your account.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except the sub-processors listed below.

5. Sub-processors

• Supabase — PostgreSQL database hosting (supabase.com)
• Clerk — authentication and user management (clerk.com)
• Sentry — error monitoring; may capture stack traces and request metadata (sentry.io)

6. Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual bookmarks at any time. To request full account deletion and removal of all associated data, contact us at the address below.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes — the raw key cannot be recovered by us. We follow standard security practices, but no system is completely immune to risk.

8. Your rights
