Jetpack CRM API Key and API Secrets

Use Jetpack CRM’s API to have your other applications “communicate” with your CRM.

With the API included in Jetpack CRM, your other applications can “talk” to your Jetpack CRM install, which is perfect to connect existing apps or sites to add data into the CRM.

If you want to connect Jetpack CRM with other apps or automate your workflows, you’ll need to enable and generate your API keys.

Enable the API

Before you can generate your API keys, you need to make sure the API module is active.

  1. Go to Jetpack CRM → Core Modules.
  2. Locate the API module and ensure it’s activated.

If you’re not familiar with enabling core modules, check out our guide on enabling core modules.

Generate API keys

Once the API module is enabled, you can generate your API keys from your CRM settings.

  1. Go to Jetpack CRM → CRM Settings → API.
  2. Click the Generate API Key button.
  3. Jetpack CRM will generate an API Endpoint, API Key, and API Secret.

These credentials provide secure communication between Jetpack CRM and external systems.

You can now use them in the API Connector extension or in your own custom integrations to send or retrieve CRM data programmatically.

Common API use cases

The Jetpack CRM API supports a variety of use cases, including:

  • Automating customer imports from contact forms or third-party platforms (e.g. via Jetpack Forms or GiveWP integration).
  • Syncing WooCommerce customer data with the WooCommerce Sync Hub.
  • Creating invoices and quotes automatically using data from other systems.
  • Tracking leads and deals from multiple sources.
  • Building custom dashboards or reporting tools with CRM data.

These examples illustrate how developers and businesses can extend Jetpack CRM beyond WordPress and streamline day-to-day operations.

Troubleshooting the API not working

If your API requests fail or return an error, double-check that:

  • Your API module is active.
  • Your API Secret and Key match the values in your CRM settings.
  • Your Jetpack CRM version is up-to-date.

Software Development Kit (SDK)

We’re developing a Software Development Kit (SDK) to make it even easier to build powerful integrations with Jetpack CRM’s API.
This toolkit will eventually simplify the process of writing code that interacts with your CRM data.

You can access the latest API documentation here.

Note: The API feature is currently in Beta, which means both the API and its documentation are still under active development. Expect improvements and updates as we continue to expand its functionality.
