Map a variety of fields from your contact form into Jetpack CRM when using contact form plugins like Contact Form 7 and Gravity Forms.
Adding contacts to Jetpack CRM using contact forms like Contact Forms 7 and Gravity Forms is a great way to leverage landing pages in your same CRM site or via an external site.
Depending on the type of field in your forms, you need to map it with the default CRM field or custom fields.
Available contact fields for lead generation forms
All the standard fields in the Jetpack CRM have specific field keys to go with their names.
The standard fields are listed below so you can copy/paste them:
prefix = Prefix
fname = First Name
lname = Last Name
email = Email Address
addr1 = Address Line 1
addr2 = Address Line 2
city = City
county = County (State)
postcode = Postal Code (Zip Code)
country = Country
secaddr1 = Address Line 1 (second address)
secaddr2 = Address Line 2 (second address)
seccity = City (second address)
seccounty = County (State) (second address)
secpostcode = Postal Code (Zip Code) (second address)
seccountry = Country (second address)
hometel = Home Telephone
worktel = Work Telephone
mobtel = Mobile Telephone
In addition to the standard contact fields, you can also map custom fields to forms. You can see your custom field names on the Custom Fields setup page.
Custom field setup for form plugins for Contact Form 7 and Gravity Forms
When you set up a custom field type that allows multiple values (e.g., Checkbox), you must have matching values in both Jetpack CRM custom field settings – under CSV of options – and the forms’ plugin field settings.
Please note that multi-value select options are case-sensitive. Make sure that the spelling and case are identical in both Jetpack CRM custom field settings and the form editor.
If “CSV of options” is left blank in Jetpack CRM multi-value custom field settings, you’ll run into the warning message No Options!
Gravity Forms Connect supported fields
Our Gravity Forms Connect extension can capture the following field types:
- Text fields: Single Line Text, Paragraph Text.
- Number and Date,
- Single-value fields: Drop Down, Radio Buttons.
- Multi-value fields: Checkboxes, Multi-Select.
- Contact information: Name, Phone, Email.
Choosing the correct custom field type will depend on whether or not the Gravity Forms field type allows multiple selections. Check the chart below that can help you choose compatible field types:
| Gravity Forms Fields | Compatible Jetpack CRM Custom Field Type |
| Allows multiple selections (Checkboxes, Multi Select) | Checkbox |
| Only allows one selection (Drop Down) | Select, Checkbox |
| Radio Buttons | Radio |
| Text (Single Line Text, Paragraph Text) | Textarea |
| Number | Numeric |
| Date | Date |
Contact Form 7 and Gravity Forms files upload field compatibility
Our Contact Form 7 and Gravity Forms extensions do not currently support file uploads from a Contact Form 7 form to a Jetpack CRM contact.
If you need the option to add files to CRM contacts, you can manually upload the file by editing the contact within your Jetpack CRM dashboard. Check this page to learn more about that.
Another alternative is to enable the file upload and download feature in the Client Portal, which is available with the Client Portal Pro extension.
Can we change the “County” field to actually say “State” or I’d be happy with what you show above “County (State)” unfortunately that is not how it appears within the CRM.
Thanks
Hi James,
This is an outstanding issue which we’ll be solving ASAP, ideally within the next few version releases.
All the best
Woody
