Jetpack CRM FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions part of the Knowledge Base. This is our official area for FAQs. It’s more detailed than on the product landing pages and covers everything you may want to ask.

How do I install Jetpack CRM core?

Installing Jetpack CRM core is a straightforward process. First if all, make sure you have WordPress installed on your website. If you don’t have WordPress yet, you can follow our guide on setting up a WordPress site to run Jetpack CRM.

After that’s done, check out our Getting Started guide which explains how to do it step by step.

How do I install Jetpack CRM extensions?

Installing Jetpack CRM extensions is similar to installing any WordPress plugin. For the detailed instructions, you can refer to our guide on how to install Jetpack CRM extensions.

If you have a Jetpack Complete license, you can access all extensions by:
1. Going to your Jetpack Complete plan details page.
2. Scrolling down to find the “CRM Downloads” tab.
3. Clicking that tab to access your license key and all available extensions.

How do I log into my Jetpack CRM account?

When you purchase a single extension or license bundle, a Jetpack CRM account is automatically created for you using the email address you provided during purchase.

To log in:
1. Visit the Jetpack CRM account login page: https://app.jetpackcrm.com/login.
2. Enter the email address you used when making your purchase.
3. Enter your password.
4. Click the login button.

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it by following the instructions on this page.

Is there a Jetpack CRM API?

Yes, Jetpack CRM does have an API! The API allows other applications to communicate with your Jetpack CRM installation, making it perfect for connecting existing apps or sites to add data into the CRM.

Here’s what you should know about the Jetpack CRM API:

  • The API is currently in beta, which means it’s still being developed as new features are added to the CRM.
  • You can view the current API documentation on this page.
  • Since the API is still in beta, please note that the documentation is not yet complete. The team is working on improving it as they progress with API development.
  • To use the API, you’ll need to set up API keys and secrets in your CRM backend. You can read more about managing API keys and secrets on this page,
  • If you’re working with specific field types like checkboxes or multi-select fields, there’s additional documentation on how to send this data via the API.
  • Anything else about the API that’s not included in the links mentioned above, it’s out of the support scope.

Do you help with custom development?

We don’t directly offer custom development services for Jetpack CRM. However, I can suggest some alternatives for getting custom development work done:

These services can connect you with qualified developers who can help with your custom development needs for Jetpack CRM.

Please note that while we’re happy to provide support for our core product and official extensions, custom code falls outside our scope of support as per our support policy.

Where can I demo the extensions?

Currently, we do not offer a live demo of Jetpack CRM extensions. After careful consideration, this decision was made due to several challenges you can read about on this page.

However, you still have several options to evaluate our CRM and its extensions:

  1. Install the free core CRM plugin: Jetpack CRM core is completely free, so you can install it on your own domain to test the basic functionality.
  2. Review documentation: All extensions are documented with detailed information about their features and functionality.
  3. Watch video walkthroughs: Check out our video walkthroughs on our YouTube channel to see how each extension operates.
  4. Purchase and test: The most direct way to experience the extensions is to purchase the Freelancer, Entrepreneur, or Reseller plan (or the stand-alone extensions) and activate the extensions you want to test.

This approach allows you to evaluate the extensions in your own environment with your actual data.

What is your support policy?

Our support policy is designed to provide you with the best possible assistance while using Jetpack CRM. Here are the key points:

  • Support channels: We provide support through our ticket system, which you can access by submitting a request through our support form.
  • Response Time: We aim to respond to all support tickets within 24-48 business hours (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays).
  • What we support: For detailed information about whet we support and what is outside of our support policy, you can refer to this Knowledge Base page.
  • Refund policy: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee, so you have two weeks to test Jetpack CRM. If you aren’t satisfied, you can request a full refund.
  • License support: For issues with license keys, we can help you obtain and activate your Jetpack CRM Entrepreneur license.
  • Extension support: We provide support for all official Jetpack CRM extensions.

How do subscriptions work?

Jetpack CRM subscriptions work on an annual basis. Here’s how our subscription model works:

  1. Annual recurring billing: All Jetpack CRM subscriptions (both individual extensions and bundles) are sold as automatically recurring subscriptions that renew each year on the anniversary of your purchase date.
  2. What’s included: An active subscription gives you access to:
    • Your license key.
    • The ability to download eligible extensions.
    • Updates and support for the duration of your subscription.
  3. Account access: You can manage your subscription, download extensions, and access your license key through your Jetpack CRM account.
  4. Payment methods: Currently, we only accept debit and credit card transactions for subscriptions.
  5. Automatic renewal: All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of the annual license term unless you cancel prior to the renewal date.
  6. Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time before the renewal date through your account dashboard to prevent automatic renewal.
  7. Refunds: If you’re unsatisfied with your purchase, we do have a refund policy in place. You can review our full refund policy at our refund policy page.

This subscription model ensures you have continuous access to updates, support, and new features as they’re released throughout the year.

Will the extensions stop working if I cancel my subscription?

When you cancel your Jetpack CRM subscription, here’s what happens:

  1. Extensions continue working: Your extensions will continue to function until the end of your current billing period. The cancellation simply stops the automatic renewal for the next year.
  2. Updates and downloads: You’ll still have access to download the extensions and receive updates for all premium extensions until your current subscription period ends.
  3. After subscription ends: Once your paid period expires, you’ll no longer receive updates or support for the premium extensions. However, the extensions you’ve already installed will continue to work in their current state – they won’t suddenly stop functioning.
  4. Resubscribe option: If you change your mind, you can resubscribe before your subscription expires by visiting https://app.jetpackcrm.com/account.

How can I rebrand the plugin?

Jetpack CRM offers a white-label service called “Rebrandr” that allows you to replace the standard Jetpack CRM branding with your brand. Here’s how you can use this service:

Eligibility and Access

  • Resellers: If you have a Reseller license, Rebrandr is included for free
  • Entrepreneur license holders: You can subscribe to Rebrandr for $20/month by contacting support.

Set up and installation notes

  • To generate white-label plugins, please check the information on this Rebrandr Knowledge Base page.
  • Always install the Core CRM plugin first when installing the white-label versions.
  • Do not run with standard Jetpack CRM installed, as this will cause conflicts.
  • White-label versions have fewer built-in help guides, as our standard help links point to our Knowledge Base, which can’t be rebranded.
  • Depending on your market, you may need to write your own branded documentation.
  • As per the terms of service, rebranded content should not be distributed for free or uploaded to third-party marketplaces.

Can I resell the CRM to my clients?

Yes, you can resell Jetpack CRM to your clients, but there are specific license options designed for this purpose.

Reseller License

The Reseller license is specifically designed for agencies and developers who want to resell Jetpack CRM to their clients. With this license:

  • You can install Jetpack CRM on unlimited client sites.
  • The Rebrandr white-label service is included for free.
  • You can rebrand the CRM with your own company name and logo.
  • You can set your own pricing for your clients.

Entrepreneur License with Rebrandr

If you have the Entrepreneur license, you can:

  • Add the Rebrandr service for $20/month.
  • White-label the CRM with your branding.
  • Install on client sites (within the license limits).
  • Resell to your clients.

Important Guidelines when reselling Jetpack CRM

  • As per our terms of service, rebranded content should not be distributed for free or uploaded to third-party marketplaces.
  • You’ll need to provide your own support to your clients.
  • You should install the white-labelled version on client sites, not the standard Jetpack CRM
  • The core CRM must be installed before any extensions.

For more information about Rebrandr, you can refer to our Knowledge Base article, Rebrandr: the white-label service for Jetpack CRM.

Is there a multi-site license?

Each Jetpack CRM license key can only be associated with one site URL. This means if you want to use Jetpack CRM’s premium features on multiple sites, you have a few options:

  1. Multiple individual licenses: You can purchase separate licenses for each site where you need premium features.
  2. Reseller program: If you need CRM upgraded features on more than three sites, the Reseller program offers better value for money, even if you’re not planning to resell to third parties. This program is designed for agencies and developers who manage multiple client sites.
  3. WordPress multisite networks: If you’re using a WordPress Multisite network, there are specific considerations. You can find more information about setting up Jetpack CRM with Multisite in our Knowledge Base article: what is WP Multi-site and how do you install it?

It’s important to note that license keys use strict URL matching. So if you change your site URL (for example, from http to https), you’ll need to update the license key URL in your Jetpack CRM account. You can change the URL assigned to your license key up to three times per year.

For standalone sites with different users accessing them, Jetpack CRM stores data separately in each WordPress installation’s database, ensuring data privacy between different installations.

Do I get every future extension in the Freelancers Bundle?

The Freelancer Bundle gives you access to a specific set of extensions that are included in that particular bundle at the time of purchase. Unlike the Entrepreneur Bundle (our highest tier), the Freelancer Bundle does not automatically include all future extensions that we release.

With any active subscription, you’ll always receive updates and bug fixes for the extensions included in your bundle. However, brand-new extensions might only be automatically added to the Freelancer Bundle.

If you’re interested in having access to all future extensions as they’re released, the Entrepreneur Bundle would be the recommended option. You can find more information about our different bundles on our pricing page.

When we release new extensions, you can download them from the “CRM Downloads” area in your account, but only those that are included in your specific bundle will be available to you.

What is your refund policy?

Jetpack CRM offers a 14-day money-back guarantee for all extension and bundle purchases.

If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase; this refund policy applies to both individual extensions and bundle purchases.

While we don’t offer free trials, this money-back guarantee essentially allows you to test Jetpack CRM for 14 days with the security of knowing you can get a refund if it doesn’t meet your needs.

For more detailed information about our refund policy, you can visit our official refund policy page.

How does B2B mode (Companies) work in Jetpack CRM?

B2B mode in Jetpack CRM allows you to manage business-to-business relationships by adding company functionality to your CRM. Once activated, you’ll be able to:

  • Create company records in your CRM.
  • Assign contacts to specific companies.
  • Track company-level information separately from individual contacts.
  • Manage business relationships more effectively.

To enabling the B2B mode, please refer to this Knowledge Base page. For more information on how to get started with assigning contacts to companies, please check this documentation page instead.

Does Jetpack CRM work as an ecommerce plugin?

Jetpack CRM is not designed to be an ecommerce plugin itself, but rather works alongside ecommerce platforms to help you manage customer relationships.

Jetpack CRM is primarily a customer relationship management tool that can:

However, it doesn’t provide storefront functionality, product catalogues shopping carts, or payment processing that dedicated ecommerce plugins offer.

Jetpack CRM works well with popular ecommerce platform and in-house extensions:

For an ecommerce website, the recommended approach is the following:

  1. Use a dedicated ecommerce plugin like WooCommerce for your storefront.
  2. Use Jetpack CRM alongside it to manage customer relationships.
  3. Set up the appropriate integrations to sync data between the systems.

This combination gives you powerful ecommerce capabilities with robust customer relationship management.

Does Jetpack CRM work as a booking/recurring subscription plugin?

Jetpack CRM currently does not have native functionality to create recurring payments or subscriptions. However, there is a common workaround:

  1. You can use WooCommerce with the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin to handle recurring subscriptions.
  2. Then use Jetpack CRM’s WooCommerce Sync feature to automatically import those subscription customers and transactions into your CRM.

This allows you to manage your subscription customers within Jetpack CRM while the actual subscription management happens in WooCommerce.

Booking Functionality

Jetpack CRM does not include booking or appointment scheduling features. For booking functionality, you would need to:

  1. Use a dedicated WordPress booking plugin.
  2. Potentially integrate it with Jetpack CRM through custom development or through WooCommerce if the booking plugin has WooCommerce integration.

Can Jetpack CRM help me pay sales commissions?

Jetpack CRM doesn’t have a built-in sales commission calculation or payment system. However, if you would rather not pursue any custom code route (which is out of our support scope) or seek third-party plugins, you can use certain features and workflows to help track information needed for commission calculations.

Here’s how you might approach this:

  • Contact ownership: you can (automatically, also) assign contacts to specific team members (users) in Jetpack CRM, which helps track which sales rep is responsible for which customer.
  • Transaction tracking: Jetpack CRM can record transactions and their values, which provides the base data required for commission calculations.
  • Custom fields: You could create custom fields for contacts or transactions to track commission-related information.
  • Reporting: use the reporting features (such as the Sales Dashboard) to generate transaction reports that could be exported and used as the basis for commission calculations in an external system.

When do I need a license key?

You need a license key when you purchase any premium extensions or bundles for Jetpack CRM. License keys enable access to download premium extensions, automatic updates for premium extensions, and access to email support.

Here’s a breakdown of when license keys are required:

  1. Premium extensions: If you purchase any individual, stand-alone premium extension from the Jetpack CRM extensions page, you’ll receive a license key that needs to be activated.
  2. Bundle plans: When you buy a Jetpack CRM bundle plan that includes multiple extensions, you’ll receive a license key that activates all the extensions in that bundle.
  3. Jetpack Complete plan: If you’ve purchased a Jetpack Complete plan, you’re entitled to a Jetpack CRM Entrepreneur license key. Check the steps at this page to set it up.

You don’t need a license key for:

  • The core Jetpack CRM plugin (free version).
  • Free extensions and modules included in the core plugin.

Once you have your license key, you can follow the step-by-step guide on this documentation page to set it up.

What add-ons are available?

Jetpack CRM offers a variety of extensions to enhance your CRM functionality. Here’s an overview of the available add-ons:

Core Modules (Free)

These are the most important features included with the free version of Jetpack CRM:

  • B2B Mode: manage company records and assign contacts to companies.
  • Client Portal: allow clients to log in and view their information.
  • CSV Importer: import contacts and other data via CSV files,
  • API: connect Jetpack CRM to other systems,
  • Forms: create lead capture forms.
  • Invoicing: basic invoicing functionality.
  • Quotes: create and manage quotes for clients.
  • Tasks: assign and track tasks.

Premium Extensions

These require a license key. You can check the complete list of all the paid subscription available to purchase on the Extensions page of our Jetpack CRM site.

Extensions are available through different bundle plans:

How do I purchase more than one license?

Purchasing multiple Jetpack CRM licenses is straightforward, but there are a few important things to understand about how our licensing works.

  • Jetpack CRM licenses are sold on a per-site basis. Each license key can be used on one WordPress installation.
  • If you need to use Jetpack CRM premium extensions on multiple sites, you’ll need multiple licenses.

To purchase multiple licenses, you can consider the Reseller plan, offering up to ten license, or following these steps:

  1. Go to the Jetpack CRM pricing page or extensions page.
  2. Complete a purchase for your first license.
  3. Return to the pricing/extensions page and make additional separate purchases for each site.

After purchasing multiple licenses, please note the following:

  • Each license purchase is a separate subscription that will renew annually on its purchase anniversary date.
  • Licenses are tied to the specific bundle or extension purchased.
  • All subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of the annual license term, unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.
  • Currently, Jetpack CRM only accepts debit and credit card transactions for purchases.

Do you offer a free trial?

Jetpack CRM does not offer free trials for premium extensions or bundles. However, there’s a great alternative approach to test the system before making a purchase.

  • Try the free core version plugin first: the core features of Jetpack CRM are completely free and available to everyone. This gives you a solid understanding of how Jetpack CRM works and if it fits your needs before investing in premium extensions.
  • Testing Premium extensions: if you want to experience the premium extensions firsthand, the best approach is to purchase the bundle that includes the extensions you’re interested in.

While we don’t offer free trials, Jetpack CRM does have a refund policy in place if the product doesn’t meet your needs. You can find details about our refund policy in our terms of service. You can read more about that in our dedicated support page about trials and refunds.
