about me
I am a forty something :-) mother of 5 (6 if you include my daughters practically live in very camp best friend Mark) who found fanfiction late in life and is just cramming as much as possible in to catch up lol.
I watched QAF when it first came out and was hooked I have worn out several dvd's since then and my current box set is doing the rounds of my daughters friends. Mark and I watch QAF with a pot of icecream and 4 spoons and sigh over the male actors, my best friend and sister in law watch it and sigh over the female actors so there is something for everyone ;-)
I began with QAF fanfiction and this has quickly spread to Spike/Xander, Harry/Draco and Sentinel fiction even though I have never watched a tv episode or film of any of these. I have even dipped into Superman, CSI and the Professionals. My favourite is still Brian/Justin though particularly those amazing long term writers that follow them after season 6 or in an AU that covers many months/years. (especially Gale,Thyme+Sabina and OG Walton) I also discovered mpreg which some writers do much better than others (thanks Rory)
I regularly re-read favourite stories but love discovering new ones too. Thanks to all the wonderful writers out there from someone who does not have that kind of imagination and please keep up your amazing work. |

new to this
Well I have had this LJ for a while now but have no idea what to do with it. Do people use them like diaries? I created it so I could read others stories. I see a mention every now and then that some writers won't friend an empty journal. Does posting this message make my journal non-empty now or does it need to have a fictional story in it? If so it will be remaining empty as I am not a writer myself so wouldn't inflict anything of mine on anyone. |
