
Rebecca Blocksome
Rebecca Blocksome is an MFA student in expanded media at the University of Kansas and an editor/writer for the Arts Research Collaboration initiative at the Spencer Museum of Art. Prior to coming to KU, she lived and worked for seven years in Central and South Eastern Europe, and she holds a master’s degree in philosophy and theory of visual culture from the University of Primorska Faculty of Humanities in Koper, Slovenia. Her research focuses on art and visuality in the formation of national and cultural identity, with a particular interest in the development of Western Modernity. Her creative work is primarily in the fields of site-specific installation and performance art, with an emphasis on public engagement and intervention.
