In keeping with my desire to live a "greener" lifestyle (random: I do love that this is something talked about more frequently nowadays), I've been so good over the past months with not acquiring plastic bags and coffee cups that I'll just throw away.
I keep reusable bags in our cars, so every time I go to any store, I bring 1-3 of them with me and carry items home that way. Similarly, I bring a coffee mug with me every morning on my way to work, so if I stop to get coffee, I use that. If I forget to bring one, I just don't get coffee.
It's just a little thing, but I'm really trying to build 1-2 small habits at a time before moving on to other things.
My question is...
Why, though, do I keep acquiring MORE reusable bags and mugs? I'm not even buying them myself!! In the past four months, we've received four reusable shopping bags from various places and two coffee mugs. I don't need more of them... I just want to use what I have.
Heh. Anyone need some coffee mugs/shopping bags? I've got plenty.
Oh, and to any of you, now that I've built these habits, I'm looking for 1-2 more "green" habits to move onto. Is there anything that you do that you could share? Advice? Things you've learned?
