…ABOUT / DISCLAIMER

My background is in dance music production for several major (and minor) labels as well as DJing for over 20 years. I’ve engineered some award winning tracks, hosted a weekly national radio mix show for 5 years and lectured students at a prominent university and Music academy. And my degree in Electronics Engineering is finally being put to good use for this project! You can message me on the “Contact” page if you have a question about something I specifically did to restore my Jupiter 8. Be patient tho I only check about once a week I’m busy working on my Cora!!

General Disclaimer : I am not a synth tech. I am just some guy. I do not have a synth repair business, I do not wish to start one or want to restore your Jupiter 8 for you. I am not giving you professional advice on my blog here on what is the “right way” to approach restoration of your Jupiter 8. I am simply showing how I WENT ABOUT IT IN MY CASE. Everyone has an opinion. There is not always a Right or Wrong way for everything that needs to be done in this world. There may very well be better ways to do things than the way I have done them in this blog. It seems that some synth tech “experts” do not like some of the secrets I have divulged and would rather the mysterious process of the fixing and restoring of synthesizers be handled only by Biblical Gods, or by their small inner tech-circle performed in mysterious dungeoneous workshops where large money transactions take place and charges accrue rapidly by the hour. Use the information on this blog with your own discretion and wisely and know that i will not be held personally responsible for any damage that you may do to your synthesizer. (Phew … glad that’s done I cannot believe that I had to actually write this Politically-Correct statement).
