Such applications provide the developers with reusability opportunities as well as seamless access to a wide range of services that provide simple and complex tasks to meet the clients’ requests in accordance with the service-level agreement (SLA) requirements. Web service composition issues have been addressed as a significant area of research to select the right web services that provide the expected quality of service (QoS) and attain the clients’ SLA. The proposed model enhances the processes of web service selection and composition by minimizing the number of integrated Web Services, using the Multistage Forward Search (MSF). In addition, the proposed model uses the Spider Monkey Optimization (SMO) algorithm, which improves the services provided with regards to fundamentals of service composition methods symmetry and variations. It a...

SOA focuses on the development, use, and reuse of small, self-contained, independent blocks of code called web services that communicate over the network to perform a certain set of simple tasks. Web services are integrated as composite services to offer complex tasks and to provide the expected services and behavior in addition to fulfilling the clients’ requests according to the service-level agreement (SLA). Web service selection and composition problems have been a significant area of research to provide the expected quality of service (QoS) and to meet the clients’ expectations. This research paper presents a hybrid web service composition model to solve web service selection and composition problems and to optimize web services’ resource utilization using k-means clustering and knapsack algorithms. The proposed model aims to maximize the service compositions’ QoS and minimize the number of web...

This paper proposes a framework that utilizes performance Indicators for monitoring and measuring environmental state of such natural resources. These performance Indicators improve the quality of monitoring and reporting processes deployed for the natural resources to help decision makers, researchers and investors. The results of the performance indicators aim for formulating and implementing the policies for various sectors related to natural resources. To manifest these results, it is vital to adopt different technologies such as GPS, LBS, sensors, and mobile technologies. We suggest using the performance indicators for Aqaba city as a case study to show the performance result as a part of the smart city project proposed in our previous research to be implemented in the future. Introduction Recently, smart cities have witnessed popular attention by many researchers and business secto...

Such data requires processing and storage. The cloud is an online storage model where data is stored on multiple virtual servers. Big data processing represents a new challenge in computing, especially in cloud computing. Data processing involves data acquisition, storage and analysis. In this respect, there are many questions including, what is the relationship between big data and cloud computing? And how is big data processed in cloud computing? The answer to these questions will be discussed in this paper, where the big data and cloud computing will be studied, in addition to getting acquainted with the relationship between them in terms of safety and challenges. We have suggested a term for big data, and a model that illustrates the relationship between big data and cloud computing.

Nowadays, with the development of e-government, set of information are available about the public sector in electronic databases significantly, that may be agree with each other. Public sector information is considered the most important thing in egovernment environment, it has a great value (Shao & Wang, 2010). Moreover, the government environment become is using the Internet and information technology, mainly on their interactions with businesses and citizens, and among themselves. One of the e-Government initiatives is the development of the government-to-business (G2B) system, which is an agenda sets to promote a higher service quality between government entities and the business sector (Dong, Xiong & Han, 2010).This paper aims to discover the importance of the government's small and medium enterprises under the umbrella of e-services G2B. G2B transactions include various services exchanged between the government and the business community, including the deployment of policies and memos, rules and regulations. It includes commercial services provided access to current business information, application forms are loaded, renewal of licenses, registration of companies, to obtain permits, pay taxes, e-Procurement service ERAs (slaves and Abu Shanab, 2010).

WS components are managed, updated, and rearranged at runtime to provide the business processes as SCs, which consist of a set of WSs that can be invoked in a specific order to fulfill the clients' requests. According to the Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, WS selection and composition are significant perspectives of research to meet the clients' expectations. This paper presents an effective technique using SMFS that attempts to improve the WS selection as well as SC construction and ultimately optimize the WS resource utilization. The results show that the proposed SMFS technique enhances the WS resource utilization by 9.6% compared to the standard Multistage Forward Search (MFS) technique. Similarly, the number of constructed SCs using the proposed SMFS technique are increased by 36.97% compared to the number of constructed SCs with the standard MFS technique.

A convenience sample of 473 passengers from the Jordanian airport was chosen as the population in order to verify the hypotheses and research framework. The results of the study show that the lifestyle of Jordanian passengers significantly influences their purchase of e-tickets. The analysis of the results indicates that each of the lifestyle dimensions: Activities, Interests, and Opinions, had a significant positive effect on the purchasing decision of the e-ticket Service.

This article attempts to fill this gap by investigating the relations among several Technology-Organization-Environment variables at Aqaba five star hotels located in Jordan namely relative advantage, complexity, compatibility, top management support, firm size, technology competence, competitive pressure, critical mass, information intensity, age, gender, educational level, personal income, and work position in enhancing perceived usefulness, and the latter on continuous intention to use mobile hotel reservation system of five star hotels in Aqaba, Jordan. An empirical study among 390 usable responses containing 36 items was analyzed using multiple regression analysis and machine learning techniques to test the re...

The ease of deployment, low-cost and high data rates have contributed significantly to their popularity. There are many protocols that are tailored to ease the process of establishing these networks. Nevertheless, security-wise precautions were not taken in some of them. In this paper, we expose some of the vulnerability that exists in a commonly and widely used network protocol, the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) protocol. Effectively, we will implement a user friendly and an easy-to-use tool that exploits the weaknesses of this protocol to deceive a victim's machine and a router through creating a sort of Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attack. In MITM, all of the data going out or to the victim machine will pass first through the attacker's machine. This enables the attacker to inspect victim's data packets, extract valuable data (like passwords) that belong to the victim and manipulate these data packets. We suggest and implement a defense mechanism and tool that counters this attack, warns the user, and exposes some information about the attacker to isolate him. GNU/Linux is chosen as an operating system to implement both the attack and the defense tools. The results show the success of the defense mechanism in detecting the ARP related attacks in a very simple and efficient way.

Moreover, E-services became a key aspect of any organization competitiveness. In Jordan, most of the universities provide different e-services portals to their students. This paper aims to investigate and explore the association between e-services web portals information quality and ICT competence in the Jordanian universities. The current research conducted by using survey questionnaires on a large population from Jordanian Universities. Specifically, 428post and undergraduate students answered the survey from different faculties at the Jordanian Universities. Results found a positive relationship between e-services web portals information quality and ICT competence. Results of T-test indicated that there is no significant difference in the relationship between information quality and ICT competence in the Jordanian universities due to ...

There is a need to make e-learning available to deaf people, deaf people facing difficulties in learning, for example, when a lecturer demonstrates on the black board, they usually face the wall, making lip-reading impossible. Moreover, unless they have a note-taker, they will not be able to write down the necessary information and watch the lecturer/interpreter/lip-speaker at the same time. Deaf children in Jordan are not far from ...

Many universities have learning management systems (LMS), which contain rich information. Mostly this information remains restricted to people within the same institution. Making this knowledge available for other people outside the institution can be very beneficial for both learners and educators. This can be achieved through Adaptive Unified E-learning System (AUES). This system will enable both educator and learner to share and benefit from each other's materials. In such a way, knowledge can be easily transferred between institutions. This system could be applicable in developing countries more than others because it can contribute in the growth of e-learning adaptation and it can help in overcoming some of the challenges facing e-learning in developing countries.
