Quality of software is dependent on various attributes such as testing, metric and prediction of ... more Quality of software is dependent on various attributes such as testing, metric and prediction of bugs before deployment which will lead to effective maintenance. Software complexity and bugs again are interrelated. In this paper we are making a comparative study of defect prediction mechanisms. We propose few design ideas for empirical prediction of defect decay. Our research direction will be triggered by the design ideas we are going to propose. We intend to propose a holistic model for correct prediction of defect decay. We also want to perform empirical validation of our model and fine tune it so that its estimates are better than state-of-the-art.

Ma... more Aim: To study the effects of exposure to electromagnetic radiations from cell phone on Humans. Materials and Methods: A prospective cross-sectional study was conducted in a secluded room of the Central Laboratory of the Medical College where use of electronic devises is prohibited. The study was conducted on 25 healthy male subjects and 25 health female subjects in the age range of 18–25 years of age. In post night fasting state, the study subjects were isolated in the secluded room for 3 hours to prevent any exposure to electromagnetic radiations. Blood sample is collected and divided into two aliquots, one is control sample (not exposed) and test sample (exposed to EMR with strength of 0.471 W/Kg for 30 minutes from a distance of 5cm). This research introduces a procedure for signal denoising based on linear combinations of intrins... more This research introduces a procedure for signal denoising based on linear combinations of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) extracted using empirical mode decomposition (EMD). The method, termed component-scaled signal reconstruction, employs the standard EMD algorithm, with no enhancements to decompose the signal into a set of IMFs. The problem of mode mixing is leveraged for noise removal by constructing an optimal linear combination of the potentially mixed IMFs. The optimal linear combination is determined using an optimization routine with an objective function that maximizes and minimizes the information and noise, respectively, in the denoised signal. The method is demonstrated by applying it to a computer-generated voice sample and the displacement response of a cantilever beam with local stiffness nonlinearity.
