Challenger Deep (sometimes shortened to CD) is a tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) based on monster hunting video games like the titular “Monster Hunter” or “God Eater”.

Players are tasked with heading out in parties to track and hunt gigantic beasts, returning to their home base to gather themselves and prepare to do it again.

You are a “Diver”, an elite “Hack_Saw” member, the organization tasked with researching, hunting, and capturing “Leviathans”, giant aquatic monsters who, if they surfaced in polite society, would cause untold destruction and destabilize the world at large. It’s a heavy weight to bear, but you have help.

I'm enjoying the vibes here, but I think you definitely need to do another proofreading pass -- in addition to the issues other folks have mentioned, it seems like the text for Operate and Tinker is the same, and Cook and Sharpen have the same "flavor text", as do Ritual and Research.

Further, did you...change the name of your game at some point? In a few cases, it seems to refer to itself as "HSS"?

I also found the explanation of tokens somewhat confusing -- some are applied to characters and some to leviathans, but it's not clear to me if you "spend" tokens on yourself or on your target, and whether tokens on the target are "character specific"; If I apply Target to a part, can someone else use that Target to attack?

I could also really use a...checklist? Bullet list? for how Leviathan actions should go.

Looking forward to future revisions!

This is definitely a very flawed project, it's one of my only games in the past few years where I've had no assistance and little testing, most of the game coming from a game jam. I can't promise that there will be a revision any time soon since I'm getting work related to my largest projects up to my knees, but I really appreciate this as reference for when I go to make changes.

hey matey ! very much awsome but double tcheck the REEF_SQUID desciption plz it's same as WYRM_SHARK

Ah you're right! I'll fix that right up.

Interesting read, still needs some proofing, like Melee_Ends is in there twice. Some sections could be reorganized I think, like the combat rules closer to the beginning

Ah you're right, the melee ends problem is fixed now.

Rockin, I do think it's a cool concept, potentially something that could even be expanded for campaign play even
