I am Joan Gómez

I am a man with high ambitions, I like working hard, learning every day, having constant challenges and such goals are dealt with engineering, data, software, team leading and exercising. The goal is to always be proud of my work and my life, and to do that, I always try my best at everything, every day, every moment.

I've finished a Computer Science Bachelor's Degree, specialized in computation, and a Master's degree in Data Science. I also took some small courses on Big Data and eSports management, additionally I coursed a 1-month intensive course on Unity 2D/3D for video game development.

Furthermore, I have worked for almost 2 years as an intern Full Stack Developer in corporate applications' web development at UPCNET. After that, I've started my professional career as a Software Engineer for NEMI, a MaaS software provider specialized in DRT models. During the time in this company I've dealt with:

• Development and maintenance of new features.
• Proposing new developments for the improvement of the platform, both structural and for user response time enhancement.
• Collaborating with product and QA team. Helping defining the scope of new features and the refactor of old ones.
• IT team management and team leading, helping new-comings to get adapted to the workflows.

I've learnt, and with a high proficiency, 3 different languages:

• My B2 Cambridge First Certificate in English.
• Catalan as my mother tongue.
• Spanish as also my native language.

For the next steps in my career, I would love to work more on my Software Engineering skills and get started professionally in the data field, specifically as a Data Scientist.
