Howdy!

I’m Jackie D’Elia, and this site is for my photography and technology interests.

History: This photography website now has some of my previous technical posts from my former business site. In 2023, I merged my hobby gardening site (formerly Southern Post Journal) into jackiedelia.com. It sounds crazy, but there may be a method to the madness. Now jackiedelia.com is my garden and DIY site and this site, jdelia.com is my technical and photography site. You can find an archive of my previous technical posts here on this site.

All images and text on this site are copyrighted and may not be used without my expressed written permission. See my copyright policy.

As a former User Experience Designer and Engineer, I enjoyed writing code and designing websites. I retired in 2024 and now I’m embracing my passion as a content creator for photography and gear reviews. You can find me on my Youtube channel. I also have my At Home website along with another YouTube channel that focuses on gardening and baking. I’m keeping them separate to make things easier to find.

I’ve spent most of my career in technology from building a small real estate software company to creating an e-commerce business mentioned in the Wall Street Journal.

I’m an Aggie with a BS in Horticulture from Texas A&M University. Whoop! Yes, that’s right — the science of cultivating plants! To me, nature perfectly combines math, science, and design. Are you sensing a theme here?

Photography

This has been a passion of mine for the past 20+ years – especially nature and macro photography. I’ve been using Fujifilm since 2015, and before that, I was a Canon shooter. You can find a list of the gear that I am currently using on my gear page.
