Good to see Miss Pauling is becoming a sort of SixthTenth Ranger, I like her :)
My only gripe is that the whole group was RED. Come on, the whole point of MvM is that RED and BLU join forces against the third heir! Sure the gameplay has them all RED so that the players don't get confused, but story-wise it's supposed to be both Teams. Current Mood:bouncy
Not that I ever reacted like that when one of my ships was sunk. Nope. No. Absolutely not. Not me! Never, ever evah. No, really, honest! Current Mood:awake
09:03 pm - Disney songs are perfect I've been feeling lonely lately. Lots of work + freezing cold + shorter days = inability to go out with friends. Add in the fact that my sister is going to get married, so she is always busy and I can't even have a nice long chat with her anymore :/
(Obvs I'm happy for my sister, and her fiancè is the sweetest guy. But I still miss her company, you know?)
ANYWAY.
Here is a nice little video to cheer yourself up when you are feeling blue :)
"I have your hearts, you have my pity!" never fails to make me laugh. Who would have thought that freaking Disney created the slutty bitch precursor of Panty & Stocking? XD
10:38 pm - Finally something to post about :D It's always a pain in the ass to recruit all 108 Stars of Destiny in Suikoden games. It would be fun if it were optional, but the whole "if you miss even one of them, your favourite character will die!" thing turns an enjoyable gameplay/story element into a chore. And even if you do manage to recruit all of them (which is almost impossible without a guide), there is always the (thankfully low, but still) chance of them getting killed in battle. After the final battle a couple of my units has been defeated, I frantically rushed to the Table to make sure that they had survived >_>
But the Perfect Ending is SO worth it! It seriously moved me to tears, it was so wonderful :D
Well, admittedly I was a little worried at first. [Spoilers] They took the Dawn and Twilight Rune off, but taking a True Rune off is known to slowly kill the previous user within a few years (poor Flame Champion ;_;). Thankfully, I checked the Suikoden wiki and it confirmed that the Dawn and Twilight are not real True Runes, so taking them off should be safe ^^
Anyway, speaking of games, check out this trailer for Lego Batman 2:
One of the final Bosses is a guy who wants to revive an ancient sealed Devil to take over the world, because his race (he is a demon) has been oppressed by humans for a long time (the "Humans Are Bastards" trope is pretty strong in the game), and he thinks that the only way to change that is to wage war.
The "Shut Up Hannibal!" lecture he gets is one of the funniest I've ever seen. I liked it so much I played that part again to take screenshots.
Sadly, Steam won't let me manage my screenshot gallery, so I can't make a separate folder nor list the screenshots in the correct order. But the screenshots in question are 42 in total, and the link above is to the first one. Just click on them counterclockwise on the window to the right, there is also a number under each of them to make sure you get them in the correct order.

My love for indie games is kind of getting spoiled by obnoxious elitists who'll bitch and whine and generally be total jerks if you *le gasp!* dare to enjoy "lowly" games like Call of Duty. The creator of Braid in particular comes across as "everybody sucks except me!" in a couple of interviews.
I don't even like Call of Duty, I tried playing it once and got bored out of my mind. But it's the principle of the thing! Why the heck can't people just like what they like, even if it's not terribly original? Why should anybody be shamed for enjoying tried-and-true entertainment like sequels, for wanting to re-experience something they've enjoyed before?
Sure, stagnation is bad. Sure, innovation is good. But being patronizing and hostile about it isn't going to convince people to try out new things, they'll just think you are an asshole (and they'd probably be right too).
And Mario games are effin' awesome ^_^ Current Mood:calm
I found some stories I wrote when I was 14 or so. While I don't exactly have a very high opinion of my more recent fanfiction, the stuff I wrote when I was a kid makes Twilight look like a masterpiece ^^""""""". Thank goodness I wasn't active on the internet back then! Current Mood:amused
