it crucial to assess the implications through lens of the SDGs. This article first examines the
direct and indirect effects of Israel’s actions in Gaza on the SDGs. By analysing data, the article
aims to show how much the conflict has hindered progress towards achieving the SDGs. In this regard, this article explores various dimensions, including poverty eradication, healthcare, childcare, peace, justice, reducing inequalities, and environmental sustainability, among others. Secondly, this article presents an analysis of international law violations by Israel focusing on three major international crimes, namely, ethnic cleansing, genocide, and crimes against humanity. By examining relevant international law rules, the article identifies instances where Israel’s actions in Gaza have breached those rules. By integrating the study of the SDGs and international law, this article provides a comprehensive understanding of the impact of Israel’s actions in Gaza on sustainable development and the potential violations of international law and contributes to the framing future policy discussions and initiatives aimed at promoting peace, justice, and sustainable development in the region.
