Welcome. I’m Jackie D’Elia, and this website chronicles my gardening journey, DIY projects, and photography. In 2014, I moved from Houston, Texas (Zone 9a) to North Carolina (Zone 8a). Having lived in Texas where heat and insects are especially challenging, it is a welcome change, however, North Carolina has its challenges.
I am an organic gardener because Mother Nature is our best teacher. Every ecosystem has a balance, and our gardens are no different. My goal is to maintain that balance and not disrupt it.
