Manual Installation

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file
  2. Log in to your WordPress dashboard
  3. Navigate to Plugins Add New Upload Plugin
  4. Choose the downloaded ZIP file
  5. Click “Install Now”
  6. Click “Activate Plugin”
  7. Configure your AI provider in settings

Initial Setup

Option 1: Site Guarding AI (Recommended)

  1. After activation, you’ll see a promotional block on the dashboard
  2. Click “Register Now & Get FREE Tokens”
  3. Your website will be automatically registered
  4. You’ll receive FREE tokens to start protecting your site
  5. All AI features are instantly available!

Option 2: OpenAI Direct

  1. Go to Bot Defender Settings
  2. Select “OpenAI Direct” as AI Provider
  3. Enter your OpenAI API key
  4. Choose your preferred model
  5. Save settings

  • Top Menu: Click “🛡️ Bot Defender” in the admin bar (top of any page)
