The Function and Role of Village Institutions in Village Infrastructure Development in Wanaraya D... more The Function and Role of Village Institutions in Village Infrastructure Development in Wanaraya District, Barito Kuala Regency, Under the guidance of Muhammad Akbar as First supervisor and Anhar Yani as second counselor.This study aims (1) to Know the Description of the Function of Village Institutions in the Development of Village Infrastructure in the Wanaraya District of Barito Kuala Regency. (2) to Know the Role of Village Institutions in Village Infrastructure Development in Wanaraya District, Barito Kuala Regency. (3) To Know the Obstacles in the Implementation of the Function and Role of Village Institutions in Rural Infrastructure Development in Wanaraya District, Barito Kuala Regency.The approach of this research is a case study. In this study as key informants were the Camat, Kasi Community Empowerment, and Village Heads / Village Apparatus, Village Institution administrators and the community. Data is collected through interviews, observations and documents. The analysis used is qualitative analysis. The results showed that (1) Implementation of the Function and Role of Village Institutions in the Development of Village Infrastructure in Wanaraya Subdistrict which was divided into Developing and Disadvantaged Villages of Village Institutions that had not functioned and played a role in Implementing the Function and Role of Village Institutions in village infrastructure development in Wanaraya District Barito Kuala. This can be proven by the results of interviews of researchers with respondents that there are still many functions and roles of village institutions that are not visible, such as roles and functions in planning, implementation and supervision by village institutions in village infrastructure development (2) The role of village institutions in village infrastructure development is still not play a maximum role, there are a number of villages that have already walked but some other villages are still not running. This is evidenced by the results of interviews with the village head, there are still some indicators that have not been implemented in accordance with existing regulations. (3) Obstacles to the implementation of the Function and Role of Village Institutions in the development of village infrastructure there are several obstacles, such as in the case of human resources administered by Village Institutions, focusing on work to allowances for village institutions

At 20 th November 2016, Institut Teknologi Sumatera (ITERA) and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) ... more At 20 th November 2016, Institut Teknologi Sumatera (ITERA) and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) also Government of Lampung Province have launched the ITERA Astronomical Observatory or known with Observatorium Astronomi ITERA Lampung (OAIL). The coordinate of the observatory is 05 o 27' 71" S and 105 o 09' 39" E and the altitude is 1030 above sea level. OAIL area will be the center of education in science and ecotourism in Lampung Province which may attract tourists. Therefore, management and development of the observatory should be directed so that the main function of the observatory is not disturbed. In this research we did assessment and evaluation of OAIL area to be a specific area by distributing questionnaire to some related agencies, expertise people (academy), and surrounding population. The results show that from total 83 respondents, 64 respondents choose that OAIL area is appropriate as a specific area and 19 respondents say that OAIL area is not appropriate as a specific area. From 19 respondents who do not agree, there are 8 respondents (almost 50%) from Regional Disaster Management Agency of Lampung Province.

Climate change is a high-risk threat in the future, events such as flash floods, tidal flooding and water crisis will continue to worsen in coastal areas, and informal communities as a vulnerable group will be greatly affected by this. The method of data collection in this study uses the independent interview method, literature review and observation. The data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative analysis. According to the results of the analysis, the region has endeavored to deal with various shocks and pressures, and has characteristics of resilience as a capital of resilience in facing the impacts of climate change. However, they have not been able to solve all the existing problems.

Perubahan iklim menjadi ancaman yang berisiko tinggi di masa depan, kejadian seperti banjir bandang, rob dan krisis air bersih akan terus memburuk pada area pesisir, dan masyarakat informal sebagai kelompok rentan akan sangat terdampak dengan hal tersebut. Metode pada pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode indeepht interview, literature review dan observasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan berupa analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Pada tanggal 20 November 2016 telah dilakukan survei lokasi dan ditentukan titik koordinat geografis OAL yaitu 05o 27’ 71” LS dan 105o 09’ 39” BT dengan ketinggian 1030 meter di atas permukaan laut. Dengan adanya pembangunan OAL ini diharapkan akan menjadi pusat pendidikan sains dan menjadi pusat ekowisata di Provinsi Lampung sehingga Lampung meiliki daya tarik tersendiri bagi turis lokal maupun mancanegara.
