I would love to add more Casio games. The main constraint is finding enough material to be able to produce an accurate simulation of a game, like videos of the gameplay, scans of the packaging and, most importantly, scans of the original instructions. If you know of anyone who owns any of these games and would like to contribute they can get in touch through the community forum.

The links to the unit and packaging are great. Any luck finding scans of the instructions?

I've already done some initial work on Submarine Battle which you can preview here, but I still need to find scans of the original instructions before I can continue.

Yes, I do plan  to add Zelda at some point. You can preview the initial build here.

Thanks for playing and for the great suggestion. Unfortunately there aren't any gameplay videos I can find to recreate the audio and game logic for Sunwing's RunAway. And I would also need to find scans of the original instructions. I will definitely keep looking though.

Yes, I will be adding more of them to the collection :)

Thanks for playing and welcome to RetroFab! The offline app will be free to download and you can try out an initial prototype here.

Thanks for the suggestion. I still need to find scans of the original instructions.

Thanks. Here is a preview of some initial work on Zelda.

Thanks for letting me know and helping to improve the quality of this simulation. I've updated the build with a fix for the issues.

You shouldn't now get a second bun appearing in the bottom plate if you quickly press down multiple times on a bun on the bottom (or top) floor.  I also fixed the issue of enemies and ladders not moving after the 5th round. And the score will now cycle back to 0 after reaching 19990 points during a game, which I presume would be the case on the actual hardware. The hiscore displayed at the start of subsequent games will however show as 19990 points.

Nice. I haven't added a VFD handheld to the collection in a while so this would be cool. If you can find some good quality scans of the unit, instructions and packaging, I'll add it to the list of games to work on :)

Yes. Definitely :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll keep these in mind.

Yes, I do plan to add more Tiger games to the collection, including the Sonic ones :)

Thanks for playing and welcome to RetroFab! I'm glad you're enjoying the games in this collection.

Thanks for playing and welcome to RetroFab! I'm so glad you're enjoying revisiting these handheld games from your childhood. Hopefully I'll be able to add Planet Zeon to the collection at some point.

Thanks for playing! The Sonic handhelds are on my todo list, although I still first need to find scans of the manual for Sonic 1 before I can start. See the topic about this in the discussion forum if you know of anyone who can contribute.

Thanks for reporting the issue! I've fixed it now so it shouldn't  lock up when all the dice are held. You can go back to relying on your muscle memory again ;) Thanks for helping to improve the quality of this simulation.

Thanks for reporting the bug... totally missed that in testing. It's now fixed :)

Thanks for the bug report! It's now fixed :)

Awesome! Thanks.

Hey there! Thanks for reaching out. I would definitely be interested in taking a stab at simulating the Castlevania handheld.  I could use the scans of the manual and packaging from here. And if you post the video of the gameplay here I should be able to recreate the audio and game logic. Also, I would need some close up photos of the screen background (without the  graphics on) and one with all the LCD segments turned on at once (so I can recreate the graphics).

Thanks Metamac! I'm glad you're still enjoying the collection and I appreciate the generous feedback :)

Sorry to hear about your computer :( Take as much time as you need.

Thanks! That would be great. Could you  do some good quality screenshots of the screen background (without any LCD segments turned on) and one with all the LCD segments on screen at once?

Also, I managed to find a scan of the manual here :)

The only other thing I would need is a gameplay video so I can extract the audio and recreate the game logic. Would you be able to do a gameplay video in addition to the screenshots?

Thanks for playing and for the wonderful feedback. It's always nice to hear that all the work that goes into recreating these handheld  games is appreciated. All the best with your video!

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep the possibilty of adding support for VR in mind :)

Thanks! I'll try do so.

Thanks for the feedback. The bug showing the new highscore after a game is a known issue. There are some other issues with the online service I use for the highscores, so I'm going to wait to fix this until I can find an alternate provider. Fortunately, as you pointed out, accessing the highscores from the toolbar still works. Thanks also for the great suggestions. I'll keep these in my mind!

Awesome collection! And your spreadsheet is very helpful. Hopefully, with your help, we can add many of your games to RetroFab :)

For a start, I see you have the manual for Tronica's Super Goalkeeper (row 57 in your spreadsheet). I already have enough material to recreate this game, I just need scans of the manual. Any chance you could provide  photos of your copy of the manual? You can post them here, or if you rate RetroFab and add your email address in the rating comments, I can contact you on email.

Thanks for the suggestion. It should be possible. The manual and a playable version is available online at the Internet Archive. I'm not sure when I will work on this but I'll add it to the list :)

Thanks for playing! If you'd like to contribute you can get in touch by posting in the community forum on the RetroLab companion site. I would love to know what handhelds you have in your collection, especially ones where you might be able to provide scans of the original instructions.

No immediate plans to add these but I will keep them in mind.

Also, some controllers have an analog mode. Turning that off may also help.

Unfortunately not :(

Yes :)

Sorry for the late reply. I was away for the holidays. I'm glad my small contribution to preserve these early electronic games brought back some great memories for you. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing and welcome to RetroFab!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into the possibility of adding it.
