This report deals with plant design of calcium chloride chemical powder known as calcium chloride dihydrate from limestone and acid chloride solution. The synthesis process uses acid reaction by acidification which has pure 94% product purity and also gives a environmentally friendly waste which is categorized as o-friendly factories.
The production capacity of this plant is about 25.000 tonnes per year which it is built in Jonggol districs Bogor with total area of 17521 m2. Main outline of this production consist of eight main types of production, such as pre-treatment, acidification, netralization process by basic compounds, purification, till finishing process. About all details related of production, proces flow diagram, P&ID diagrams, and the other things can be found in this paper.
This plant is named PT. Calchem Technologies which has Profit Margin of 21,349%; Break even Point (BEP) of 34 % and also net present value(NPV) of 2987312939705 rupiahs per year (about 229 million US$ per year). Based on economics analysis, this plant is declared eligible to be established by investors.

The exact mode of transmission of Helicobacter pylori is yet to be established. Close personal co... more The exact mode of transmission of Helicobacter pylori is yet to be established. Close personal contact among family members appears to be a key factor. The aim of this study was to establish whether sharing a bed or bedroom with an infected family member is an important risk factor for primary childhood H. pylori infection. Fifty-two families with at least 1 child (the index case) with H. pylori infection were recruited. The resultant study population comprised 126 siblings of the index cases. H. pylori infection was established by culture or by histology and urease testing on antral biopsies in index cases and by C-urea breath testing in family members. Data regarding sleeping arrangements within the family were collected. Sharing a bed or bedroom with an infected sibling at the age of 3 years significantly increased the risk of childhood H. pylori infection [odds ratio, 4.84; 95% confidence intervals, 1.54-15.20; P < 0.01 and 3.68 (1.26-10.75), P = 0.017, respectively]. In addition, a child was at significantly increased risk of being infected if his/her mother or father was H. pylori-positive [odds ratio, 2.52; 95% confidence intervals, 1.03-6.13], P = 0.042 and 2.99 (1.04-8.61), P = 0.042, respectively). Sharing a bed or bedroom with an infected sibling in early childhood increases significantly the risk of childhood H. pylori infection. This provides evidence to support horizontal transmission of H. pylori among siblings.

PT Champion Kurnia Djaja Technologies is one of international company that playing in service com... more PT Champion Kurnia Djaja Technologies is one of international company that playing in service company in emitting many problem that has happening in oilfield industry especially in downstream process. The problem that exists in this company can be finished by using the product that has been synthesized by this company like oilfield chemcals. PT. Champion Technologies is based on St. Paul, Minnesota, United States and has one of its branches, notably in Jababeka Cikarang Industrial Estate .
The production process will be done after Puchasing Order that comes from client with mixing process with three different mixing vessel with each capacity. Those mixing vessel has cone head based and also is upgraded by baffle and three impeller each in one paddle to increase production efficiency. After solution mixing process for 1 until 2 hours then the product will be checked by Quality control before packaging and delivering the product to costumer. The quality product check are pH (potential of Hydrogen), viscosity , and specific gravity.
While in operation, this industry has some problems like high content of organic compound in waste. Bad parameter which is controlled like high Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) with insufficient WWTP quality to handle those waste characteristics problem. The Industrial Jababeka commodities are hoping to reduce those contents so the waste can be accepted to environment.
While on our period of practical work, we has many tasks like WWTP (waste water treatment plant) design and upgrades, mixing vessel design, and also heat exchanger design. About the heat transfer problems, sometimes there are many components that, when mixed in reactor generates some heat. So while the company just using the fan to decrease those thermal output and make isothermal conditions, we tried our best to design heat exchanger systems to handle those heat problem and keeps reactor's isotermal conditions. Heat exchanger that needs to be used in this industry is 1-6 shell and tube heat exchanger, with total amount of heat which is changed is 33599,966 KJ/h and length of heat exchanger is 8 ft. Heat exchanger design for this industry is AEP type (TEMA).
