Perhaps this concept, which is frequently encountered in political life, provides the speaker with a freer speaking platform. Politicians, instead of presenting the reality to their constituents as it is, want to reshape this reality according to their own ideology and present it to the recipient. Politicians have certain objectives in creating such a virtual reality. These aims can be listed as keeping the voters, increasing the voting potential, and attracting undecided voters to their favor. The common result of all these aims is to gain political power or to remain in the existing power. Post-truth reality is constructed relatively more easily in social media environments. The construction of reality can be through beliefs or emotions. In such ways, the recipient is tried to be persuaded, and thus behavioral change is achieved. One of the most necessary subjects for this artificial reality atmosphere is the anti-subject. The idea that the anti-subject does not know the truth that we (you and I) know and believe and is trying to destroy it is the main theme of post-truth discourse. Politicians try to persuade the voters to believe in their own truth by expressing this idea to them. There are many examples of this around the world. In this study, firstly, the concept of post-truth is examined and its various definitions are discussed. The distinctions between the concepts of real and truth are analyzed and then it is explained how and for what purposes the concept of post-truth is used in politics. Following the comparison of post-truth and fake news, the concept is discussed within the framework of sender-receiver interaction in terms of communication. The concept is tried to be elucidated with the modalities such as /convincing/, /believing/, /being/, /appearing/. Besides, using the semiotic square, the study also

There is the desire to be successful in the lifestyle and the desire to convey the right knowledge to the recipient or the correct use of practices in life. A semiotic theory developed by Jacques Fontanille recently showed that strategy can also be used in semiotic analysis. So, theway of life that Fontanille talks about is not just strategy. The process we call “lifestyle” has an order from small to large: There are basic signs, texts, objects, actants, practices, action phases, strategies, and finally lifestyle. In this study, we question the function of strategy, but generally of productive pursuit, in the analysis of political discourses. In our study, we reveal the approach of semiotics to political discourses that concern the whole world and discuss whether they are valid in every society. We emphasize political semiotics, which is used to understand the general structure of political discourses, and show the general functioning of political discourses with Greimas’ Actantial Model. We conclude that politicians can influence target audiences by using various methods and discourse strategies.

The focus of the study is value construction in Turkish-made cartoons. It is aimed to determine which values are cultivated in Niloya cartoon, a Turkish-made cartoon. For this purpose, in the context of George Gerbner's Cultivation Theory, the study focuses on how values are constructed in Turkish society through cartoons. The objects, events, heroes, visuals and discourses used in the Niloya cartoon were analyzed. The basic assumption of the study is that Turkish-made cartoons play an active role in value construction. Niloya cartoon, which was deemed worthy of an award in the "TV Family-Child Ethics Award" in the category of television broadcasting within the scope of "2013 Media Ethics Awards", was selected as the sample.

The stories are told by someone called Dede Korkut or Korkut Ata, and therefore they are called Dede Korkut Stories. In the stories, real events and extraordinary events are intertwined. These stories, which are of great importance for Turkish history, are one of the primary sources that can be used to understand the traditions, customs and lives of the Turks. At the same time, women are not limited to duties such as being a mother and wife in Turkish society; Apart from this, it is also seen in the stories that women take on roles such as being a warrior and leadership. In this study, the Story of Kanglı Koca Oğlu Kan Turalı, one of the Dede Korkut stories, is discussed by using text analysis and semiotics methods. Through a critical lens, we seek to unravel the underlying mechanisms that perpetuate harmful stereotypes and objectification of women in media products, ultimately shedding light on the implications for societal perceptions and gender equality. Utilizing a comprehensive research approach, we systematically analyzed various media content, including advertisements, films, and television shows. Content analysis was employed to identify patterns, representations, and messaging surrounding women in media products. The study reveals a disturbing prevalence of sexism and the commodification of women in various forms of TV programs and to ensure the quality of our analysis, we tried to define clear parameters for collecting data. Our sample size is 30 TV programs from 3 TV broadcasters. We used random sampling on rating and share results. Prime time is chosen for the time frame. Three researchers do data collection by following the coding scheme. We found that women are frequently objectified, reduced to superficial attributes, and often portrayed in subordinate roles. These depictions not only reinforce harmful stereotypes but also contribute to the perpetuation of gender inequality and discrimination. The study underscores the urgent need for media producers, consumers, and policymakers to recognize the detrimental impact of such portrayals and work collaboratively to promote more diverse, empowering, and equitable representations of women in media. Doing so can contribute to a more inclusive and just society.

Doğan Günay, whose specialties are semiotics, discourse analysis, enunciation theory, and text theories. In addition to over 20 books and over 150 articles he published, Günay also wrote his work in the light of current developments and provided a well-equipped resource to the audience that aims to make academic studies in this field. Semiotics is an interdisciplinary field in relation to semantics, linguistics, cultural anthropology, epistemology, psychoanalysis and many other disciplines. In today's world where everything consists of signs, semiotics is a very comprehensive field that will contribute to science in every field. Günay says "today's man is not even aware that he is surrounded by signs and that every hour passes by making sense of them...". As can be understood from his discourse, the century we are in is the age of signs and it is shaped by meaning. This science, which has a very large background, does not hesitate to cooperate with different branches of science every day. Today, many different semiotics are mentioned in terms of handling the formation process of meaning and signification in every field: biosemiotics, theatrical semiotics, social semiotics, zoo semiotics etc. Günay also mentions the dual development of semiotics. This science turns into a more universal and coherent field by creating its own theory. Different researchers discuss the signification process in

Literary semiotics, which can be applied to many text types, is a fairly consistent contemporary theory. When we look at the branches of science that this theory benefits from, we see that it is an interdisciplinary approach. Our aim here is to show how a theory created by making use of such different disciplines can be used in the analysis of literary texts. In addition to revealing the outlines of literary semiotics, we want to exemplify this abstract and theoretical information through a narrative we have chosen. The novel we chose is a well-known narrative of Turkish literature. The work is the novel Kiralık Konak by Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, one of the important representatives of the national literature period, published in the 1920s. This study, which aims to present the theoretical basis of literary semiotics, will be evaluated under two main headings. Following the introduction, it will consist of narratology, literary semiotics and conclusion sections. The basic concepts and methods of literary semiotics will be presented in outline.
