Hakkında hiç bir zaman vefayat yazılması düşünülmeyen insanlar vardır. Fakat hiç istemesek de, elimiz klavyenin tuşlarına çok zor gitse de, kaçınılmaz son bizleri yetiştiren bir nesli, birer birer bizlerden koparıp ebediyete alıyor. O an geldiğinde de, söylenmek istenenler, kendisini hiç tanımamış olanlara bizde kalan anıları aktarmaktan ibaret oluyor. Yitirilen nesil-aslında ülke olarak yitirdiğimiz bu değerler-, eğitim aldıkları kadroya bakıldığında bizlerin hiç bir zaman ulaşamayacağı ayrıcalıklı sınıf olarak her zaman örnek aldıklarımızdı. Ve bizleri de, Türkiye'yi şekillendiren bu kadronun öğrencilerinden doğrudan ders aldığımız için ayrıcalıklı kılıyordu. Ne mutlu ki bizler onları tanıdık, derslerini dinledik, sınavlarında ter döktük, birlikte kazılara katıldık, seyahatlere gittik, projelerinde yer aldık, öğrencilik anılarını dinledik kısacası pek çok şey öğrendik ve her birimiz kendi anılarımızı biriktirdik. Hocalarımızla geçirdiğimiz zamanlar çoğaldıkça, bilimsel kimlikleri yanında yaşamdan zevk almak adına da içlerinde ne gibi gizli hazineler biriktirdiklerinin farkına vardık. Bugün, yaprak dökümü misali birer birer kaybettiğimiz hocalarımız, bizlere akademik hayatta var olabilmek için yaşamın bize sunduğu tüm güzellikleri keşfetmemiz ve bu güzellikleri görerek, yaşayarak, zevk alarak bilimsel çalışmalarımızı şekillendirmemiz gerektiğini miras bıraktılar. Çünkü onlar hayatı ve akademisyenliği sonuna kadar, dolu dolu ve başarıyla, olması gerektiği şekliyle çok yönlü olarak yaşadılar; tıpkı mirası devr aldıkları kendinden önceki nesiller gibi.

This article is on the cooking pots and amphorae from the early Byzantine church of Rhodiapolis. The vessels of the site which exists in the episcopal lists until the 9th century are mainly dated from the 5th century to the middle Byzantine period. Although the production sites of the Rhodiapolis material are still unclear, they have common features with the products of Egypt, Syria, Cyprus and the Aegean Islands, as well as Lycia and Cilicia in Anatolia. It is also worth noting that the very few fragments found at the excavation and dated after the 9th century indicate that there was limited population living in the city after the 9th century.

The Settlement of Andriake and Basilica B The port of Andriake, in modern day Demre in Antalya, is located to the southeast of the ancient town of Myra. It was the port of Myra in Late Antiquity and was settled on both its northern and southern shores. Port structures were positioned in the southern settlement. The earliest data obtained in excavations performed in Andriake so far are dated to the 4th century BC. Architectural data indicates that Andriake was active from the Hellenistic

This study focuses on the Byzantine buildings located in the Lower City of Perge. One of the significant structures in the city is the South Church (Basilica A), which is a three-aisled basilica with a transept and gallery, dating back to the early 5th century. Another notable church in the city, capturing attention with its large dimensions, is the North Church (Basilica B). This basilica, with its five aisles and transept, is accompanied by an atrium to the west and a narthex. Due to its size, it is believed that this structure could have served as the city's cathedral, dating to the 5th and 6th centuries. Located on the east-west oriented street of the city, the East Church (Basilica C) has managed to preserve its narthex to the west and its five-sided apse to the east. This remarkable structure, with its extraordinary length, is also among the early Byzantine churches in the city. On the north-south oriented street, a church with an inscribed cross plan (known as the Small Church) was constructed and can be dated to the 10th century. Inside the Palaestra to the west of the city, a structure with a tetraconch plan was erected. Similar to its counterparts, this edifice, believed to have been used for religious purposes, can be dated back to the latter half of the 5th century and the 6th century. The urban layout of the Lower City remained intact until the 7th century, at which point there was a decline in activity in the city. Subsequently, during the Middle Byzantine period, most likely around the 10th century, there is evidence of a limited reoccupation and settlement in the city.

Goreme Kılıclar Church is really important for this Byzantine period. Because, there are good details about frescos. But, my text is just homework. But I strongly believe that, researchers or students can find available knowledge.
