Frequently Asked Questions
What will I see on my skydive?
You’ll soar over the wild beauty of South Carolina’s Lowcountry — winding rivers, sprawling marshes, and shimmering tidal creeks stretch out beneath you. As you freefall, the Charleston skyline rises on the horizon, and the Atlantic Ocean glimmers in the distance. It’s an adrenaline-packed way to see the coast, the countryside, and everything in between — all from thousands of feet in the air!
You must be at least 18 years old to skydive.
What should I wear for skydiving?
Dress comfortably with weather-appropriate clothes and lace-up shoes. No shoes with hooks on them please.
Can my friends and family watch?
Definitely! We love having spectators. There’s a viewing area where they can cheer you on!
How long will I be on site?
Most first-time tandem skydivers spend 2–4 hours at the drop zone. This includes check-in, training, some built-in wait time for your turn on the plane, the jump itself, and post-jump celebration. (Sometimes the timing depends on weather or air traffic, so plan accordingly!)
Can I eat before I jump?
Absolutely! Eat like you’re gearing up for an adventure — something light and energizing. Think of it like prepping for a workout: not too heavy, not on an empty stomach. A good snack or small meal will keep you feeling great all the way to freefall!
Why was my jump delayed or rescheduled?
Delays can happen due to weather, air-traffic control, or aircraft maintenance. We do our best to notify you at least two hours before your scheduled time, but sometimes changes happen last minute. We always build some buffer time into the 2–4 hour experience window.
Is skydiving fun?
USPA says that skydiving has gotten much safer over the years. But there are still risks with jumping out of an airplane, which for many people adds to the excitement. You can read more about the risks involved in the waiver. We love skydiving and we look forward to showing it to you!
Are there weight limits or extra charges?
Yes. There is an extra fee for guests over 200 pounds, with a max weight limit of 240 pounds. All clothing and gear are included in the total weight, and everyone is weighed on arrival. Safety and equipment limits are based on manufacturer specifications and FAA guidelines.
How will you communicate about delays or changes?
We’ll send a confirmation email when you book, and text + email updates if weather or schedules change.
Please check your phone and email the morning of your jump. You can also text our main line for real-time weather updates.
Can I bring my GoPro or phone on the jump?
Sorry, it’s not allowed. The United States Parachute Association (USPA) doesn’t allow tandem students to bring personal cameras on the jump for safety reasons.
The good news? Our professional videographers and photographers capture incredible HD footage — check out our media options and sample videos to see what media option you want for your first jump experience.
What’s the best way to calm nerves before jumping?
Easy — pay attention to the instructions, take a deep breath, and remember, everyone feels butterflies before their first jump. The moment you exit the plane, you will be flying like a bird.
How easy is it to get to iSkydive Charleston?
Getting here is a breeze — and the fun starts the moment you arrive! We’re located at 616 Whitesville Rd, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. Pull in, check in, gear up, and before you know it, you’ll be rocketing into the sky over rivers, marshes, and the Lowcountry landscape. The drive is easy, but the real thrill begins the second you leave the plane!
What extra fees might I be charged?

If you think something looks off, just email us — we’ll explain the charge or fix it if there’s an error.

We offer refunds for deposits if we must cancel due to weather.
