In this month’s newsletter we feature Ed Jowett’s final President’s corner as the new year will bring a new ISC2 Philadelphia President. We have some great webinars coming up soon with Yaamini Barathi Mohan presenting AUTOMATED ALERT ANALYSIS: CUTTING
THROUGH THE NOISE WITH AI (WEBINAR-
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 2 12PM-1PM ) and Derek Fisher with THE CHANGING CYBER JOB
MARKET (WEBINAR-WEDNESDAY,
JANUARY 14 12PM-1PM ). We joined the NYC/Long Island Chapters at SecureWorld NYC this month and have an excellent article about supply chain cybersecurity from Gifty Laryea. Lastly, we highlight opportunities to contribute to our growing chapter and to be featured in an upcoming newsletter.

Throughout the year we host networking events. Last year we gathered together for a fun night at Dave & Busters. We work a booth at the annual SecureWorld Philadelphia and Bryan from our board is a regular speaker.

If you hold any ISC2 certifications or other industry certifications, it is likely that you have some form of CPE requirement to keep that certification active. ISC2 members are expected to acquire 120 CPEs over a 3 year period. We provide a great way to keep up to date on exciting security topics and get CPE credits through webinars which we aim to have at least once a month. Any vendors brought in are asked to speak to the topic and stay vendor-neutral. Join our LinkedIn group or Mailchimp to find out when are latest events are happening and how to join.

ISC2 is a non-profit organization and as a chapter, we are focused on getting involved in the local community and overall security community as a whole. We do an annual event at Temple University Fox School of Business, where we speak to graduate students doing their masters degrees in CyberSecurity and Auditing.

Stay ahead in cybersecurity with your local ISC2 Chapter! We provide cutting-edge education, professional development opportunities, and a supportive community to help you excel in the ever-evolving security landscape. From expert panel discussions with timely insights to earning CPE credits and networking with like-minded professionals, our chapter is your go-to resource for mastering cybersecurity and building a safer digital future.
