Damnit, I missed the one year anniversary of my last LJ post by a matter of days! Would have been so cool.

Anyway, still around. And by making this post I get to use this icon, which is the best icon of all time. OF ALL TIME! I still play WoW, I still slash, I still watch far too many TV shows and I'm still a benefit-receiving slacker who sits at home all day doing the things listed above. However my cat Monsa passed away in December and I still miss her so much it hurts.

Yep that's pretty much my life right now. Hope everyone here in LJ land is doing well!

edit: OMG I wrote slasher instead of slacker, Freudian slip of DOOM!

I just watched Where the Hell Is Matt?, and if that video doesn't make you smile I regret to inform you: There's something wrong with you!

Can the painting of my apartment be over now plz? It's getting really, really tiring.

Here is a really good article written by a British journalist about the economic crash in Iceland, and Gordon Brown's part in it all. It's not as dry as it sounds, it paints a really nice picture of Iceland and its people and how we're a nation of extremely unlucky but hard-working folk.

I highly recommend reading it, it's so cleverly written that even -I-, with the attention span of a gnat couldn't look away.

Mostly updating to show off my shiny new icon. I made it myself! I'm on such a Britney kick right now, constantly listening to her new album. I didn't much like it on first listen, but it grew on my really fast and now I hearts it. To further prove my obsession, I got up at 7:20 in the morning to secure tickets for one of her London gigs next summer. Which I did! Not as good seats as I could have gotten if the goddamn website hadn't rejected my credit card, but row Y from the stage isn't that bad. I guess. *sigh* My sister is coming with me, should be a blast.

Less happy news, my great aunt just died and I'm going to the funeral on Friday. I didn't really know her, I'm mostly just going for my grandparents' sake. And since I'll be doing that, I doubt I'll make it to HAG that evening. =( Sorry girls, if you're reading this. Funerals just take a lot out of me, even when I wasn't close to the person.

I'm leaving for London on the 19th to spend the holidays with my parents and my sister. Should be a nice time, and I finally get to see the bungalow I'll be moving into next year. But I REFUSE to walk up the HILL OF DOOM AND PAINFUL DEATH. My mom hates it too so hopefully we'll find a bus that takes us to my sister's.

Oh, I dinged 80! Omigod! I can finally raid and do heroics and raid... Eugh. Raid. It's really only fun sometimes. I specced into some cookie-cutter frostfire spec that all the mages in my raid are using. I just do as I'm told, man. It's going to be painful now to go back and level my other toons, with no flying mount. D: Oh well. And the rep grinds and the dailies... Yay, 80. x_x

Congratulations, Americans! Or, well, those of you who supported Obama. I truly hope this means great things for your country's future, and I wish you all the best!

So I'm playing WoW, and I'm thinking, "Hmmm, I wonder if Pounce is unequivocally a better opening attack than Ravage." ... Who uses the word 'unequivocally' when pondering random crap? I even had to look it up to make sure I was using it correctly.

Sheesh.

Happy birthday to meeeee! I'm going out to dinner tonight with the family and Luke, should be a really nice time. ^^ And I do believe the new Sims 2 expansion came out today, so yay! Awesome birthday present right there (even if I can't afford to actually buy it 'til next week).

Oh, one thing I think I should clarify: In my last post I completely forgot to mention that I'll only be staying in London for 6 months, like it's not a permanent thing. Unless of course I have a FABULOUS time and don't miss Monsa at all and just decide to stay there....but we'll see.

I dreamt last night that I had a boyfriend. He was oh-so pretty, all tanned and athletic and clean-cut, kind of reminds me of this guy I went to school with only my dream boyfriend was much better looking. And he was only 21, and he was quite shocked when he learned that I was 27. Which I now officially am. Oh, and in the dream I cut my hair shorter and dyed it a really cool dark red colour, mostly so that my boyfriend's mother wouldn't recognise me from when we met on holiday in Florida. Go figure. *sigh* It was fun to have a boyfriend. Maybe one day, when/if I'm straight again.

Did I mention that I saw Mamma Mia? Eeeee what a fun movie! The best, or at least the most entertaining movie I've seen this year. It's the kind of movie you could watch everyday. Girliest movie EVER. I haven't been in a theater that filled with estrogen since I saw Sex and the City. Which, you know, also fantastic. Can't wait to get them on DVD.

WoW life has been pretty good lately. I have three 70's now and Taini has entered Outland. Last night I attended my first Kael'thas kill. Didn't get any loot but I got that really shiny ring from being exalted with Scale of the Sands, and having completed the Vials of Eternity quest. Still a ways to go for my damn title. I don't even have Champion of the Naaru! How pathetic am I? -_- Can't believe I'll go to Northrend with nothing but my old Stone Guard title. But hey, content patch soon! EEEEEEEEEEEEEE. My hunters are going to be SO happy. *runs around in circles*

Okay, that's it. Need fooooooooood.

I'm on my way to bed (early, right?) but I wanted to pop in here and let you all know there's been some progress in the whole moving-to-London deal. I talked to my dad tonight, he's here in Iceland at the moment, and he said that he and mom are aiming to move to London around November 1st, and that I could move out there at Christmas. I'll be spending the holidays there with my parents and my sister, so it'll be pretty handy to just, you know, buy a one way ticket. :O That is so HUGE. I've never lived abroad before! I'm really glad that I'll be staying with my parents and having my sister around, 'cause that gives a little security in a big new city. I'm actually excited about it. Nervous too, but I'm already planning like, what I'm taking with me and such. So far I've got:

- Computer
- Computer accessories
- Clothes
- Pillow
- Hair dryer + curling iron

...and that's about it. I feel like I can just buy a new desk chair, and I'm sure my parents can hook me up with a lil' computer desk. I thought about my books but hell, I'll just buy new books in LONDON. One downside of that city is they apparently have crap internet, or so my brother in law tells me. But ah well, so long as I can download WoW patches and my TV shows, it's all good. At the moment I'm mostly worried about how much I'll miss my Monsa. =( She'll stay here with Luke obviously, and I just hope she won't be too mad at me for leaving, for then there will be POO.

But wooo. London baby, yeah!

So I was hanging out with my friends tonight, and as you do, the topic of nipples and uvulas came up. I can't remember exactly what was being talked about, but the resident Englishman, might I note the only native speaker, delivered this gem:

"If you think your uvula is on your chest, I don't want to know what your gynecologist has been telling you."

He's never, ever living that down.

Oh and will those godforsaken American networks PLEASE stop bleeping out naughty words on Hell's Kitchen? Why even make a show with Gordon bloody Ramsay if you're going to bleep all the curse words?! That is entirely illogical. For fuck's sake, how juvenile. Excessive swearing is childish, yes, but BLEEPING and BLURRING the mouth of the person saying the words is equally immature. Grow the fuck up or move the show to HBO.

Oh, and here: FUCK SHIT ASSHOLE CUNT FUCKER FUCKING FUCKED AAAAH!
