InstructThis meeting brings together the Portuguese structural biology community to explore the opportunities offered by Instruct-ERIC, the European Research Infrastructure for Structural Biology. We aim to encourage and motivate researchers in Portugal to take full advantage of Instruct-ERIC and its integrative structural biology approach.
The meeting will begin at 10:00 13 February. See the full programme and register here.
We will have the participation of the Instruct-ERIC director, Harald Schwalbe, to give us an overview on the current and future developments of Instruct. The programme will also highlight successful Portuguese research projects that have benefited from Instruct platforms and services.
As a member country, Portugal benefits from access to a broad portfolio of cutting-edge technologies that are often not available at local institutions. Instruct provides integrated platforms covering sample production and optimisation, biophysical characterisation, X-ray crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), mass spectrometry, imaging and computational biology. In addition, Instruct supports the community through internship fellowships, research and development awards, and advanced training courses, fostering innovation, skills development, and international collaboration.
This meeting offers a valuable opportunity to discover how to access and benefit from Instruct services, hear first-hand experiences from Portuguese researchers who have successfully used the infrastructure, and exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore future research and collaborative applications within the structural biology community.
