New Year’s 2026 Thankful Thursday

On a recent post from the kitties at Brian’s Home, we were curious about a box we saw in one of the photos. It looks like this:

An unopened Miwoowim scratcher box.

Wth a bit of searching, mom saw it was a nice looking big cardboard scratcher. Wolfie loves his cardboard scratchers, but it’s difficult to find them big enough for him. This one looked like a contender, so mom ordered one.

Pearl helped mom unbox it. She thought it was great for scratching and rubbing.

Wolfie heard the activitiy and decided to investigate.

He loves it!

It’s plenty big enough for him to lie down, with room to spare!

And the cradle scratcher is sturdy enough that it doesn’t tip over.

Molly came to investigate what her brother was doing.

The scratcher came with a skinny fish toy that Pearl had fun biting and playing with.

Here’s a short video of Wolfie enjoying a scratcher large enough for his mancat physique.

All the kitties are enjoying this scratcher and toy so we might have to order another!

A big Thankful to the gang at Brian’s Home for finding this scratcher and sharing it on their blog. Come hop along and see more Thankfuls.

A Quiet Christmas 2025

We had a lovely, quiet Christmas.

The kitties met Rudolph & the Abominable Snowman.

Pearl wasn’t sure about these new creatures.

The kitties got a box of catnip fish. Pearl was given the first chance to choose a fish.

Molly is on Santa’s “at risk of getting a lump of coal” list (more on that in a future post), so she didn’t get a fish!

There were only 2 fish in the box so they’ll have to share. The box smelled nippy, so they can play with that too.

Wolfie

It didn’t take long for Molly to get her turn enjoying a catnip fish along with Wolfie & Pearl.

We hope you all are enjoying a peaceful and joyous holiday season.
