What we look for Guidelines, not hard rules

We're a curated directory, so we review every submission. Tools that meet these criteria are more likely to be approved quickly:

Actively maintained — commits or updates within the last 6 months
Has documentation — a README, docs page, or clear landing page
Genuinely indie-built — solo founder, small team, or bootstrapped
Provides real value — solves a real problem, not just a thin wrapper
Free tier or open source — accessible to try before you buy

Don't stress if you don't tick every box — we're here to support indie makers, not gatekeep. If you've built something useful, we want to hear about it.

A note from us: IndieStack is still young — a small, curated directory built by two uni students in Cardiff. We’re building something we think matters: a knowledge base where AI agents recommend real creations instead of building from scratch. Games, utilities, newsletters, dev tools — anything you’ve built. Every listing helps craft that generational knowledge. Early listers get the most visibility as the catalog grows.
