In 2020, as game developers navigating the unfamiliar world of publishing, IndieGameBusiness® proved invaluable. Their videos guided us in crafting a compelling pitch deck, and the recommended publisher list led us to a successful collaboration, marking a pivotal moment in our journey.
IndieGameBusiness is highly respected and influential in the indie community. They are truly passionate and dedicated, and have been an amazing resource for small indie devs such as myself. They have helped me go from a hobbyist to a full time indie developer.
What’s been built with IGB is unlike any other resource in the game industry. The livestream podcasts bring on a big mix of names, the Discord community is friendly and knowledgeable, and the events open up the kinds of meetings that are usually gated by thousands of dollars. IGB seems to be shaking things up in a way that may ruffle some feathers, but every bird has to molt, and the games industry is long overdue for a big collection of openly available business resources like this.
