NOTICE
1. It has been decided to discontinue services of the authorized Outsourcing Service Provider, Alankit Assignments Ltd. w.e.f. 19.01.2026.
2. Accordingly, Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) operated by Alankit Assignments Ltd., located at “Sud Tower, 10th Floor, Eichhornstraße 3, 10785 Berlin” will NOT accept any applications (in person as well as postal) after 19.01.2026.
3. All the applications for Passport, Visa, OCI, Surrender Certificate, Attestation and other Miscellaneous Services will be accepted directly by the Embassy of India, Berlin located at Tiergartenstraße 17, 10785 Berlin, Germany from 20.01.2026 onwards through Online Appointment only. 4. Applicants must also ensure that they shall NOT transfer any fees to Alankit Assignment Ltd., for which services to be sought after 19.01.2026. The Embassy of India, Berlin will not be responsible for any such money transfers to Alankit Assignment Ltd.
Several incidents have occurred in the last few years, as well as in last few months; where Indian nationals have drowned, while attempting to swim in lakes and rivers in Germany. It may kindly be noted that such activities should not be undertaken, except by expert swimmers who are familiar with the currents, depth and other threat parameters of water bodies in Germany.
It is further advised that due precautions may be taken, such as wearing life jackets and all advisories of local governments on the matter should be strictly followed.

Advisory on Fraud Calls
Be alert of fraud calls made from spoofed
numbers or fraud emails sent from forged sender addresses.
The fraudsters claim to be
officials of the Embassy of India, Berlin / Indian Consulates in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich. Apart from
misguiding people with claims of wrong immigration data entry, etc., the fraudsters are also misusing the
pandemic situation to exploit people in the name of Covid-19 Verification/Survey.
Please note
that this Embassy is not conducting any such verification or surveys on Covid-19. Neither is money ever
asked to be paid over phone calls or through emails.
Do NOT share your personal details with
anyone or make any payment over phone or email. Such fraud contacts should be reported to the Embassy
immediately by sending an email to ca[dot]berlin[at]mea[dot]gov[dot]in.
Advisory on Blocked Account Services
The Embassy has received several complaints from students pertaining to a few
blocked account service providers for not disbursing their monthly payments. Students are advised to
exercise due caution while choosing blocked account service providers before applying for student visa in
Germany
IMPORTANT NOTICE
- Government of India has decided to cancel, with immediate effect, all categories of existing physical visas issued earlier to Afghan nationals.
- Afghanistan Nationals may apply online for e-visa on New AFGHAN Portal: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/avisa
- Afghanistan Nationals may avail following E-visa services: Business Visa, Student Visa, Medical Visa, Medical Attendant Visa, Entry Visa or UN Diplomat Visa
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Those travelling to India are also advised to go through instructions available on the website of the Bureau of Immigration at https://boi.gov.in.
- Each online application form is meant for one person only. A separate application has to be filed for each applicant.
- Furnish information exactly in the manner asked for in the forms, especially the names, passport number, address and date of birth.
- Applicants are required to verify the application details before submitting the online application.
- They have an option to save the online application form, in case it is not to be submitted.
- Once the online application form is submitted by the applicant, further modifications are not allowed. Hence, applicants are requested to check and validate the details before submitting the online application form.
E-visa : General guidelines:
- For complete information of the e-Visa process, visit the official website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html .
- e-Visas are not processed or issued / managed by the Embassy/Consulates in Germany.
- Do not use any other website, as the e Visa should be applied only through the authorized Indian Government website (https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/).
- Ensure that the applicant provides correct particulars when filling up the online e-Visa application.
- e-Visa will carry particulars as provided by the applicant. In case particulars like the name and passport number are incorrectly filled up and e-Visa issued, the Embassy/Consulate cannot correct the particulars.
- The applicant has to apply again with correct particulars and obtain a new e-Visa.
