In the intriguing world of Science Gallery Bengaluru’s exhibition, CARBON, an ongoing experiment by researchers from the Simons Centre for the Study of Living Machines at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bengaluru, broadly relates to the question of the origins of life from non-living sub-components. Jīvāṇu, as this exhibit is named, is a replicative study based on a previous study by Indian researchers to determine whether simple chemicals can form the building blocks of life, thereby giving rise to a precursor of living cells.

During PCST 2025, Indian science communicators discussed how science communication must move beyond simplifying research — toward equity, interdisciplinary engagement, and systemic change. The conference brought together a range of innovative formats and engaging dialogues to present a range of global perspectives. It also enabled Indian participants a chance to reflect on India's emerging role in making science communication more equitable and community oriented.
The fourth Regional Young Investigators’ Meeting (RYIM) 2023 – 2024 took place at Presidency University, Kolkata, from 06 to 08 December 2023. RYIM Kolkata was aimed at nurturing academic exchange aligned perfectly with the theme “Education, Research and Translation: The Triple Helix of Collaboration.”
