Caste has been seen as an extreme form of social stratification. The most extensive contemporary example of a caste system is found in Hindu community of south Asian region. Here, caste distinctions permeate all aspects of life, especially in rural areas. Although discrimination based on caste is illegal, it still exists, and it determines where people live and work, whom they marry and how they perform their daily livelihoods.

In the first part of this paper, I have presented about the idea of social change in sociology. In the second part of this paper, I have discussed about how these classical theory talks about social change. The common point of these theories is that they all understand social change as a social progress. In the concluding part of this paper, I have mentioned about the theory I like most i.e., Marxist theory and I have also explained the reason why I like conflict theory of social change most of these classical theories.

Now, this architecture is taken as art. The oldest form of shelter made by a human was almost circular. Some of the representative examples of indigenous circular shelter around the world are Southwest American Hogan, the Mongolian yurt, the North American tepee, and Nepali Gol/Kudule Ghar. The main reason behind building a circular shaped shelter is the influence of what they see around the environment of Mother Nature. The shape of most of the natural elements are curve or circular, for e.g. stones, tree trunks, eggs and the shape of the earth itself (is said to be round). Humans were also inspired to build circular houses from the shelter made by other animals (caves) and birds (nests) around their environment. According to architecture and science, circular shaped houses are more comfortable, more energy efficient and safer.

Our prime approach to join DOA was to learn about the heritage and its conservation. We had four team members working together during the ninety-day course. The team primarily worked on collection of physical data of broken monuments. And one of them is Mataya Phalcha located near to Naka Bahil, Patan. The purpose of this report is to document the collected information concisely and help reconstruction of the building studied. The report contains brief assessment of social and physical data of the Mataya Phalcha to be reconstructed.

The world today is 56% urbanized and the UN expects the continued rise of urbanization to 68% of global population living in cities by 2050. With increasing attraction for urban, some people are choosing to live within suburb for refreshment, isolated living and more private living to improve their quality of life. These paradigm shifts are opening up amazing opportunities to study and explore importance and characteristics of vernacular architecture of locality and to invite further exploration in terms of development and innovation of its spatial use and construction methods relevant to contemporary time.
