
Angela Catello
Angela Catello studied History of Art at the University of Naples Federico II and at the University of Florence. She is an expert in decorative arts (gold and silver, silver sculpture and furniture, Neapolitan crib figures) and paintings from the 17th to 20th century. She works as a art history consultant for silver works owned by private collectors. She has contributed to the literature by publishing articles, papers, reviews and essays both in Italian and English. As a lecturer, she has taught postgraduate courses in Neapolitan Baroque Art. She has curated several exhibitions - often in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Culture - and she presented her work at conferences and seminars all over Italy and abroad. Since 1984, she has been designated as the curator of the Sliver Section of every exhibition under the patronage of the Polo Museale di Napoli ( The City of Naples Museum Centre).
