Nos vinte e seis capítulos que a compõem a obra, buscou-se esboçar um panorama dos estudos que vêm sendo realizados nas Universidades e nos Institutos Federais de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia nos últimos anos, os temas são diversificados. A partida foi dada no volume I e ainda não terminamos, o assunto é instigante e o processo de leitura ainda não basta, porque devemos nos conhecer! Em sentido mais amplo, o espectro das pesquisas desenvolvidas nesta obra abarca questões de diversos tipos, desde aquelas que tratam da gênese do conhecimento das ciências e da pedagogia, matemática, química e dos objetivos da educação científica, das relações entre ensino e aprendizagem, das vinculações entre ciências e as questões socioculturais, da interação entre saberes científicos e cotidianos, da ciência e da técnica como culturas e forças produtivas, até as que abordam sobre o desenvolvimento de propostas curriculares envolvendo didáticas específicas ou modelos de avaliação diferenciados de processos escolares. When we follow the origins of the feeling of morality and its unfolding in different human societ... more When we follow the origins of the feeling of morality and its unfolding in different human societies, we can see that, at its center, is the problem of violence and the means to avoid it, reduce it or control it. Therefore, through a study of reality and our biological aptitudes for altruistic behavior, we can observe the importance of empathy to human and scientific development. Bioethics seeks precisely to reduce the damage caused by man to other animals and to himself. And since empathy works similarly among animals of greater affinity, people who limit their moral considerations to the boundaries of their human community tend to be more indifferent to the suffering of these animals. Therefore, a society that represses our moral considerations and puts our mental health at risk, can at some point produce a population indifferent to suffering, making acts of violence common, contributing to an inhumane education, and in a specific case, it can also contribute for an inhuman science. Guided by Bioethics, this article presents an analysis of biological and philosophical contributions to the moral consideration of non-human animals, and had as objectives; to evaluate the knowledge and opinions of university students in relation to ethics and animal experimentation in their appropriate courses, to verify the existence of relationships between the opinions and empathy responses of beginning and final students regarding animal experimentation, and to verify the existence of relationships between variations in empathetic responses to speciesism.

Guided by Bioethics, this book presents some of the biological and philosophical contributions to moral consideration with non-human animals, and the importance of empathy and perception for the recognition of animal suffering, and had as objectives; to evaluate the students' knowledge and opinions regarding ethics and animal experimentation, to verify the existence of relations between the opinions and empathy responses of the beginning and final students about animal experimentation, and to verify the existence of relations between the variations in the answers of empathy with speciesism. The data sampled showed variation in the empathy of the beginning and final students; in the end the students were more indifferent to animal suffering. Featuring a speculative education and a type of conditioning that can influence our perceptions

ENTRELAÇAMENTO ENTRE EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL E ENFOQUE CTS/CTSA: ENSINO DE CIÊNCIAS A PARTIR DO CASO DO RIO JUCU, 2020
O objetivo deste trabalho foi o de estudar a aplicação de uma intervenção pedagógica para discuti... more O objetivo deste trabalho foi o de estudar a aplicação de uma intervenção pedagógica para discutir o ensino de química a partir da temática do Rio Jucu, utilizando a metodologia de Três Momentos Pedagógicos, referenciada em Delizoicov, Angotti e Pernambuco (2011), e aproximações da educação CTS/CTSA, referenciadas em Santos e Auler (2011) e Aikenhead (2009). Tratou-se de uma investigação qualitativa que emergiu de observações, rodas de conversas, relatos orais e escritos colhidos durante a aplicação da intervenção pedagógica. Participaram do estudo quatro turmas de química do segundo ano do Ensino Médio, contendo aproximadamente 30 alunos cada, com idades entre 16 a 18 anos, em uma escola da Rede Estadual localizada em Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brasil. A intervenção promoveu conteúdos de saneamento básico, ocupação desordenada, assoreamento, desmatamento, entre outros, a qual promoveu as habilidades investigativas, comunicação oral e aprendizagem colaborativa, além de perpassar por aspectos sociocientíficos, tecnológicos, socioculturais, socioeconômicos e socioambientais.

de seleção natural ser apresentado em uma perspectiva social que atribui as
teorias darwinistas a ideia de competição e uma luta pela sobrevivência do mais
forte. Ideias estas que foram reforçados pelo Darwinismo social, corrente
sociológica que justifica a dominação do homem pelo homem, as guerras e a
individualidade capitalista. Segunda a perspectiva Freiriana essa visão de
mundo é responsável pela violência sistêmica da sociedade, pois é justificada
por pressupostos racionais que reforçam a necessidade da violência e
dominação. Pensando nisso surge uma necessidade de identificar as possíveis
origens epistemológicas da violência em nossa sociedade e como ela se
reproduz dentro das instituições, seja ela familiar ou escolar. O objetivo é pôr
em pratica um PIE que coloque o aluno como sujeito de uma ação investigativa
onde ele próprio é o objeto de estudo e participa ativamente da sua construção
com a finalidade de melhor compreender o processo de ensino e aprendizagem
do comportamento humano. A pesquisa que será feita com os alunos pode
contribuir para o entendimento da violência como um conhecimento adquirido,
e como esse conhecimento pode ser facilmente reproduzido.
