The Impact of Environmental Based Physics Learning on Students' Concept Mastery and Ecopreneurship Management

Strengthening ecopreneurship plays an important role in preparing students for success in the lif... more Strengthening ecopreneurship plays an important role in preparing students for success in the life and career of students, but this skill is not well trained in learning physics. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of environment-based physics learning on students' mastery of concepts and ecopreneurship. This research is a quasi experimental research with one group pretest and posttest design. The research subjects were 29 students of the physics education study program, Surabaya State University, Indonesia, who programmed basic physics courses. The data collection technique used a conceptual mastery test instrument and ecopreneurship. The data analysis technique used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Paired t-test, Wilcoxon test, and N-Gain. The results showed a significant increase in students' mastery of concepts and ecopreneurship at α = 5%, with mean N-gain of 0.63 and 0.60, respectively, within the moderate criteria. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar elastisitas dan hukum Hooke berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang layak untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses peserta didik. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan desain model ADDIE. Uji coba dilakukan pada 23 peserta didik di kelas XI IPA 1 SMAN 12 Banjarmasin. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen validasi bahan ajar, pengamatan keterlaksanaan RPP dan aktivitas sains, serta tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan n-gain. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Research and Development (R&D) yang langkah-langkahnya mengacu pada Sugiyono (2013). Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan metode validasi yang dilakukan oleh dua dosen dari jurusan Fisika Universitas Negeri Surabaya dan metode tes yang dilakukan terhadap 50 siswa. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Persentase validitas teoritis rata-rata pada ranah materi, konstruksi, dan bahasa sebesar 89,82% atau berada pada kategori sangat layak. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X-MIA di SMAN 1 Sumenep yang berjumlah enam kelas. Hal tersebut berdasarkan pada hasil observasi yang menyatakan tingkat keberhasilan siswa terhadap hasil belajar rendah mencapai 75% dari KKM pada sekolah tersebut. Tingkat kelulusan di sekolah SMPN 1 Sumberrejo mencapai 98% dengan nilai rata-rata untuk pelajaran IPA 84,5%, sedangkan untuk hasil evaluasi pelajaran fisika mencapai 79%. The purpose of this study was to find out the correlation between scientific knowledge and scienc... more The purpose of this study was to find out the correlation between scientific knowledge and science process skills with scientific creativity in Creative Responsibility Based Learning (CRBL). This study involved 83 students of science, physics, chemistry and biology education at Lambung Mangkurat University, Indonesia. The process of data collection used scientific knowledge tests, science process skills tests, and scientific creativity tests. The results of the study show that: (1) scientific knowledge and scientific creativity have a positive, but not significant, relationship. Even though, the mastery of scientific knowledge was needed as a connector of science process skills with scientific creativity; (2) science process skills were positively and significantly correlated with scientific creativity; and (3) both scientific knowledge and science process skills had a simultaneous correlation to scientific creativity.

This strategy was effective in a conceptual topic. Therefore in this research, the chosen topic was global warming. This research was conducted on two groups of students that consisted of 30 students. The groups were assumed to have the same level of knowledge and skills. Data was gotten by observation, questionnaire and the learning outcomes. The learning outcome was a poster that was also used as the learning media. The results showed that the implementation of PBL with Gallery Walk strategy was able to enhance the creativity and communication skill of students. Using manual poster was more effective to enhance creativity and communication skills of students.

Telah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Perguruan Muhammadiyah Wiyung Surabaya. ... more Telah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Perguruan Muhammadiyah Wiyung Surabaya. Tujuan pengabdian adalah: 1) meningkatkan pemahaman guru SMP dan SMA terhadap penggunaan facebook sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif, 2) mendorong guru menerapkan media pembelajaran inovatif menggunakan facebook, 3) penggunaan media pembelajaran inovatif menggunakan facebook mendapatkan respon yang baik dari siswa. Metode kegiatan adalah pelatihan, pendampingan, penerapan, dan penilaian. Teknik pengambilan data adalah pengamatan dan angket. Skor angket menggunakan skala Likert (skala 1-4), dan kategori skor rerata adalah: sangat kurang (1 ≤ x <1,5), kurang (1,5 ≤ x < 2,5), baik (2,5 ≤ x < 3,5), dan sangat baik (3,5 ≤ x ≤ 4). Analisis data untuk mengukur kategori keberhasilan dilakukan dengan menghitung rerata skor dan persentase tiap aspek yang ditanyakan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penggunaan media pembelajaran inovatif menggunakan facebook adalah: 1) pemahaman guru meningkat, 2) 30% guru membuat grup facebook dan menerapkannya dalam pembelajaran, 3) mendapatkan respon yang baik dari guru dan siswa. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah kegiatan pelatihan, pendampingan, penerapan, dan penilaian penggunaan facebook sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif menghasilkan peningkatan pemahaman guru, menghasilkan media pembelajarn inovatif karya guru, dan mendapatkan respon yang baik dari siswa.

Tujuan kegiatan adalah melakukan pendampingan kepada para guru di Perguruan Muhammadiyah Wiyung S... more Tujuan kegiatan adalah melakukan pendampingan kepada para guru di Perguruan Muhammadiyah Wiyung Surabaya dalam mengimplementasikan penilaian pendidikan yang sesuai standar Kurikulum 13. Secara umum target program adalah diperolehnya wawasan dan kemampuan para guru di lembaga tersebut terkait implementasi penilaian pendidikan dalam pembelajaran yang memenuhi standar. Luaran yang dihasilkan program adalah produk yang berupa instrumen penilaian beserta rubriknya yang memenuhi standar. Dari kegiatan PKM dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa: Semua guru di SD Muhammadiyah 15 Surabaya telah mempunyai pemahaman yang baik terhadap penilaian pendidikan yang sesuai standar, semua guru telah mengembangkan instrumen penilaian pendidikan beserta rubriknya yang sesuai standar, dan semua guru telah mengimplementasikan penilaian pendidikan yang sesuai standar, sedangkan guru di SMP Muhammadiyah 17 Surabaya dan SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya baru sebagian kecil saja yang mempunyai pemahaman yang baik terhafap penilaian pendidikan yang sesuai standar, sebagian kecil saja yang mengembangkan instrumen penilaian pendidikan yang sesuai standar, dan sebagian kecil saja yang mengimplementasikan penilaian pendidikan yang sesuai standar. Namun demikian, semua guru di Perguruan Muhammadiyah Wiyung Surabaya memberikan respon yang baik terhadap pelaksanaan PKM di lembaga tersebut.

Participants were 36 college students of sixth semester from one intact class. College students' misconception of geometrical optics were measured by a three-tier misconception test. From the data collected we were determined the students' misconceptions profile that find students have misconceptions in each sub-chapter. Then from data analysis we found that: (1) percentage of first tier true answer is higher than percentage of second tier true answer for the whole class, but opposite for all students who suffer misconception (2) there is a significant opposite/negative correlation between students' misconception and the score they get (3) there is no significant correlation between students' score and degree of confidence for their answer to the problem.

There is still limited knowledge and have not been integrated in a comprehensive manner. The goal of this study is to identify student's responsibility Department PMIPA of Lambung Mangkurat University in learning Physics. This study used a qualitative approach with survey method. Subjects were 156 students of biology education; chemistry education, physical education, and science education are a program fundamental physics course. Data collected from questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Data were analized by descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of questionnaire showed that most students feel responsible for participating, respect for others, teamwork, leadership, and expression with the criteria of good/excellent, but the observations and interviews show that a lot of student are difficulties in leading and expression, as well as some students still deficient/sufficient in participating, respect for others, and team work.

Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan desain model ADDIE. Uji coba dilakukan pada 23 peserta didik di kelas XI IPA 1 SMAN 12 Banjarmasin. The purpose of this study was to find out the correlation between scientific knowledge and scienc... more The purpose of this study was to find out the correlation between scientific knowledge and science process skills with scientific creativity in Creative Responsibility Based Learning (CRBL). This study involved 83 students of science, physics, chemistry and biology education at Lambung Mangkurat University, Indonesia. The process of data collection used scientific knowledge tests, science process skills tests, and scientific creativity tests. The results of the study show that: (1) scientific knowledge and scientific creativity have a positive, but not significant, relationship. Even though, the mastery of scientific knowledge was needed as a connector of science process skills with scientific creativity; (2) science process skills were positively and significantly correlated with scientific creativity; and (3) both scientific knowledge and science process skills had a simultaneous correlation to scientific creativity.

This strategy was effective in a conceptual topic. Therefore in this research, the chosen topic was global warming. This research was conducted on two groups of students that consisted of 30 students. The groups were assumed to have the same level of knowledge and skills. Data was gotten by observation, questionnaire and the learning outcomes. The learning outcome was a poster that was also used as the learning media. The results showed that the implementation of PBL with Gallery Walk strategy was able to enhance the creativity and communication skill of students. Using manual poster was more effective to enhance creativity and communication skills of students.

Tujuan pengabdian adalah: 1) meningkatkan pemahaman guru SMP dan SMA terhadap penggunaan facebook sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif, 2) mendorong guru menerapkan media pembelajaran inovatif menggunakan facebook, 3) penggunaan media pembelajaran inovatif menggunakan facebook mendapatkan respon yang baik dari siswa. Metode kegiatan adalah pelatihan, pendampingan, penerapan, dan penilaian. Teknik pengambilan data adalah pengamatan dan angket. Skor angket menggunakan skala Likert (skala 1-4), dan kategori skor rerata adalah: sangat kurang (1 ≤ x <1,5), kurang (1,5 ≤ x < 2,5), baik (2,5 ≤ x < 3,5), dan sangat baik (3,5 ≤ x ≤ 4). Analisis data untuk mengukur kategori keberhasilan dilakukan dengan menghitung rerata skor dan persentase tiap aspek yang ditanyakan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penggunaan media pembelajaran inovatif menggunakan facebook adalah: 1) pemahaman guru meningkat, 2) 30% guru membuat grup facebook dan menerapkannya dalam pembelajaran, 3) mendapatkan respon yang baik dari guru dan siswa. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah kegiatan pelatihan, pendampingan, penerapan, dan penilaian penggunaan facebook sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif menghasilkan peningkatan pemahaman guru, menghasilkan media pembelajarn inovatif karya guru, dan mendapatkan respon yang baik dari siswa.

Secara umum target program adalah diperolehnya wawasan dan kemampuan para guru di lembaga tersebut terkait implementasi penilaian pendidikan dalam pembelajaran yang memenuhi standar. Luaran yang dihasilkan program adalah produk yang berupa instrumen penilaian beserta rubriknya yang memenuhi standar. Dari kegiatan PKM dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa: Semua guru di SD Muhammadiyah 15 Surabaya telah mempunyai pemahaman yang baik terhadap penilaian pendidikan yang sesuai standar, semua guru telah mengembangkan instrumen penilaian pendidikan beserta rubriknya yang sesuai standar, dan semua guru telah mengimplementasikan penilaian pendidikan yang sesuai standar, sedangkan guru di SMP Muhammadiyah 17 Surabaya dan SMA Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya baru sebagian kecil saja yang mempunyai pemahaman yang baik terhafap penilaian pendidikan yang sesuai standar, sebagian kecil saja yang mengembangkan instrumen penilaian pendidikan yang sesuai standar, dan sebagian kecil saja yang mengimplementasikan penilaian pendidikan yang sesuai standar. Namun demikian, semua guru di Perguruan Muhammadiyah Wiyung Surabaya memberikan respon yang baik terhadap pelaksanaan PKM di lembaga tersebut.

Participants were 36 college students of sixth semester from one intact class. College students' misconception of geometrical optics were measured by a three-tier misconception test. From the data collected we were determined the students' misconceptions profile that find students have misconceptions in each sub-chapter. Then from data analysis we found that: (1) percentage of first tier true answer is higher than percentage of second tier true answer for the whole class, but opposite for all students who suffer misconception (2) there is a significant opposite/negative correlation between students' misconception and the score they get (3) there is no significant correlation between students' score and degree of confidence for their answer to the problem.

Subjects were 156 students of biology education; chemistry education, physical education, and science education are a program fundamental physics course. Data collected from questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Data were analized by descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of questionnaire showed that most students feel responsible for participating, respect for others, teamwork, leadership, and expression with the criteria of good/excellent, but the observations and interviews show that a lot of student are difficulties in leading and expression, as well as some students still deficient/sufficient in participating, respect for others, and team work.
