Based on oral tests, about 28.57% of students who were interested in learning English and pre-test of vocabulary, the average class was 59.76. This was the basis for conducting the research. The author found the idea by applying the Throwing Ball game. The game required simple equipment, a ball, paper, and markers. First, the students stood in the middle of the class and formed a circle. Students played a ball in which there was a word, and the last student got the ball obliged to guess the meaning of the word. Students who could not guess the meaning of the word, got punished. The author had proved that this game was very effective to increase the motivation and achievement of students in learning English, this was proven with the result of vocabulary test which average class reach 80,00.
