Before the modern science is developed, the Balinese Hindu community made an effort to stimulate the optimal functioning of the brain through the variety of ceremonies called the Manusa Yajna ceremony. The actualization of the Manusa Yajna ceremony is a form of the seriousness of Hindus to invest in human resources. This means that when this ceremony was built and developed, the spirit to prepare Hindus to be superior had already taken place. Vocabulary is one of the English elements besides grammar, spelling, and pronunciation supporting... more Vocabulary is one of the English elements besides grammar, spelling, and pronunciation supporting English language skill such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Vocabulary is the first element that should be master before the learners going to other element. When the learners have mastered vocabulary, they will be able to produce many sentences in spoken and written form easily. On the other hand, when they lack of vocabulary, they will find difficulty in deliver their thought, even their opinion to other people. One of the teaching strategies to enhance students’ vocabulary is using English Song. This paper aims at describing the use of English song in teaching English vocabulary for students. The method of this research was a qualitative research combination of seven several journals from abroad and within the country about teaching vocabulary with song. Although there are many reasons why songs can be considered a valuable teaching tool, there are some issues to consider.

Kemampuan berbahasa dan berkomunikasi merupakan kebutuhan dan merupakan hal esensial untuk awal proses di sekolah. Keterampilan mendengarkan adalah keterampilan pertama dan paling dasar yang dikembangkan oleh pembelajar bahasa, baik dalam belajar bahasa pertama, bahasa kedua maupun bahasa asing. Metode TPR dapat memotivasi anak untuk tertarik belajar bahasa Inggris terutama melatih kemampuan mendengar (listening) karena metode ini sangat menghibur mereka dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran di kelas dan membantu pemahaman anak usia dini terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Inggris secara efektif. Babymoon is a tourism activity which is done by expectant mothers and their couples during the pregnancy period. As a well-known tourist destination, Bali will not pass this opportunity to develop tourism in Bali and always offers a new thing to the tourists. One way to attract more tourists to come to Bali is by offering Yoga as a tourist package to the couples who wants to enjoy their babymoon in Bali as Yoga is considered as a good activity to be done by expectant mother. One of favorite place to enjoy yoga for babymoon is Ubud. Ubud has numerousadvantages as yoga tourist destination while enjoying babymoon in Bali.

The English Proficiency Index (EPI) ranking released by Education First (EF) shows that Indonesia... more The English Proficiency Index (EPI) ranking released by Education First (EF) shows that Indonesian EPI falls under Vietnam in 2016 and commits a decreasing trend since 2011. Besides, other EFL-countries, e.g., Belgium and Argentina, could reach the 11th and 19th world ranking in the same year. These phenomena showed that Indonesian had problems in improving English language proficiency. Therefore, this paper is aimed at; (1) pointing out the factors affecting EPI from social-cultural, legal and educational perspectives, (2) factors affected by EPI, and, (3) recommendations for improving EPI based on the other EFL-countries with high EPI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh teknik bermain peran dengan naskah dan ke... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh teknik bermain peran dengan naskah dan kecemasan siswa pada bahasa asing terhadap kompetensi berbicara siswa kelas sebelas. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan 2x2 faktorial dan 68 orang siswa dipilih secara acak sebagai sampel penelitian. Data di analisis dengan menggunakan ANOVA dua jalur dan Uji Tukey. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap kompetensi berbicara antara siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan teknik bermain peran dengan naskah dan siswa yang diajarkan dengan teknik konvensional; (2) ada pengaruh interaksi pada teknik mengajar yang digunakan dan kecemasan siswa pada bahasa asing terhadap kompetensi berbicara siswa; (3) ada perbedaan kompetensi berbicara antara siswa yang mempunyai kecemasan siswa pada bahasa asing yang tinggi yang diajar dengan menggunakan teknik bermain peran dengan naskah dan siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan teknik konvensional; (4) ada perbedaan kompetensi berbicara antara siswa yang mempunyai kecemasan siswa pada bahasa asing yang rendah yang diajar dengan menggunakan teknik bermain peran dengan naskah dan siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan teknik konvensional.
