According to the United Nations Human Development Report (2014) “Most people in most countries have been doing steadily better in human development. Advances in technology, education and incomes hold ever-greater promise for longer, healthier, more secure lives”. This success can thus be attributed to development communication and social change. The UNICEF further adds that “communication for development is seen as a two-way process for sharing ideas and knowledge using a range of communication tools approaches that empower individuals and communities to take action to improve their lives.
