Das Europaische Labor fUr Teilchenphysik (CERN) hat unlangst eine neue groBe Elektron-Positron-Ko... more Das Europaische Labor fUr Teilchenphysik (CERN) hat unlangst eine neue groBe Elektron-Positron-Kollisionsvorrichtung (LEP) in Dienst gestellt. Wahrend der Installation der LEP-Maschine und der Detektoren in den Versuchsbereichen wurde sich insbesondere um die DurchfUhrung neuer Verfahren des Sicherheitstrainings (Videounterweisung und praktische Obungen) fUr alle Mitarbeiter bemuht, die in den unterirdischen Bereichen eingesetzt werden so II ten. Davon war eine breite Offentlichkeit betroffen (ca. 2300 Personen von Firmen, 1200 CERN-Mitarbeiter, 1200 wissenschaftliche Benutzer von CERN); die Palette reichte von angelernten Arbeitern bis zu lngenieuren, Physikern und Technikern vieler verschiedener Nationalitaten. Das Programm zielte darauf ab, den Mitarbeitern die Wichtigkeit der strikten Befolgung der Sicherheitsverfahren und der korrekten Anwendung der ihnen zur Verfugung gestellten VorbeugungsmaBnahmen bewuBt zu machen. Ergebnis war nicht nur ein groBeres BewuBtsein der Gefahren, sondern auch eine bessere Kenntnis der angebotenen Mittel zur Vermeidung von Arbeitsuntallen. Seide Aspekte wurden von samtlichen Mitarbeitern gut aufgenommen und begruBt.

It has been produced thanks to the voluntary support also of professional graphic artists to be freely distributed to children of secondary schools and during nutritional campaigns in fairs or specific actions made by the Faculty of Health Sciences in the villages in Mozambique, and can be used anywhere the school language is Portuguese. This book teaches people to eat healthily in order to avoid obesity (a real plague of our time) and/or nutritional deficiencies by valuing the vitamin intake of fruits, vegetables and other foods consumed and available in the country. Er war an den Experimenten WA2, WA42 und WA46 beteiligt, in denen die Eigenschaften von Hyperonen untersucht wurden. Die Kollaboration WA62, für die er Wortführer war, zeigte 1983 die Existenz des charmed strange Baryons A+ (csu) bei 2.46 GeV/c2 (heute Ξ$^{+}_{c}$ genannt) und 1984 die des charmed doubly strange Baryons T0 (css) bei 2.74GeV/c2 (heute Ω$^{0}_{c}$ genannt) (Z.Phys. C 28, 2, pp.175-185 (1985)). Nach einer Zeit in der Industrie ist er der Gruppe von Prof. Alan Clark am Department für Kern- und Teil- chenphysik der Ecole de Physique der Universität Genf beigetreten. The installation of this accelerator and its experimental areas represents an example of harmonization of safety rules in supranational areas, as CERN is an international organization and the machine is housed in a tunnel of 26.7 km circumference, of which 20 km is on French territory and 6.7 km on Swiss territory. The work was carried out by a large number of firms from all over Europe, CERN staff and physicists and technicians from all over the world, and represented almost 4 million working hours. The safety organization chosen and applied with the agreement of the two host-State safety authorities is described and the resulting application, including the results in terms of accident statistics, from the installation of the machine, experimental areas and detectors are presented
