Then, a model for fuzzy linear programming problem with fuzzy variables (FLPFV), in which, the right hand side of constraints are arbitrary numbers, and coefficients of the objective function and constraint matrix are regarded as crisp numbers, is discussed. A numerical procedure for calculating a canonical symmetrical trapezoidal representation for the solution of fuzzy linear system and the optimal solution of FLPFV, (if there exist) is proposed. Several examples illustrate these ideas.

In the present paper, this concept is extended on hesitant £-fuzzy sets which introduced by authors recently. Finally, some properties for this type of generalized concepts are discussed.

This paper focuses to extend this approach on a lattice and shows that two large application concepts of the fuzzy set theory namely resolution identity and representation theorem are true under this extended definition.

The resulting approximation set has acceptable quality measures, and is an -approximation to the nondominated set, where is the tolerance vector and can be controlled by the decision-maker. The distance between every two resulting solutions is greater than or equal to a positive value and hence there is no redundant information. Also, for a given upper bound the method controls the cardinality of the resulting approximation set.

Several approaches exist which use different ranking functions for solving these problems. Unfortunately when there exist alternative optimal solutions, usually with different fuzzy value of the objective function for these solutions, these methods can not specify a clear approach for choosing a solution. In this paper we propose a method to remove the above shortcoming in solving fuzzy number linear programming problems using the concept of expectation and variance as ranking functions

One particular case in process capability analysis is a situation in which specification limits are two fuzzy sets. In such a uncertain and vague environment, the produced product is not qualified with a two-valued Boolean view, but to some degree depending on the decision-maker strictness and the quality level of the produced product. This matter can be cause to a rational decision-making on the quality of the production line. First, a comprehensive approach is presented in this paper for modeling the fuzzy quality concept. Then, motivations and advantages of applying this flexible approach instead of using classical quality are mentioned.

The method is organized so that the resulting approximation set has acceptable quality measures. The resulting set is an E-approximation to the nondominated set where E is a tolerance vector. Also, it does not generate redundant information.

Due to error of measurement in truncated continuous data, choosing a crisp trimmed point caucuses a fault inference, so using fuzzy sets to define a threshold pointmay leads us more efficient results with respect to crisp thresholds. Arellano-Valle et al. [2] defined a selection distribution for analysis of truncated data with crisp threshold. In this paper, we define fuzzy multivariate selection distribution that is an extension of the selection distributions using fuzzy threshold. A practical data set with a fuzzy threshold point is considered to investigate the relationship between high blood pressure and BMI.

Similarity concept, finding the resemblance or classifying some groups of objects and study their common properties has been the interest of many researchers. Basically, in the studies the similarity be-tween two objects or phenomena, 2-similarity in our words, has been discussed. In this paper, we consider the case when the resemblance or similarity among three objects or phenomena of a set, 3-similarity in our terminology, is desired. After defining 3-equivalence relation and 3-similarity, some common and different points between them are in-vestigated. We will see that in some special cases we can reach from 3-similarity to 2-similarity.

Also isomorphism, monic and epic are introduced in this category. Then a subcategory of this category, called the skeleton, is studied. Where none of any two fuzzy implications are Φ-conjugate.

The Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA) is a stochastic population-based metaheuristic that was originally designed for solving continuous optimization problems. It has a flexible and well-balanced mechanism for enhancing exploration and exploitation abilities. In this paper, a Discrete Gravitational Search Algorithm (DGSA) is proposed to solve combinatorial optimization problems. The proposed DGSA uses a Path Re-linking (PR) strategy instead of the classic way in which the agents of GSA usually move from their current position to the position of other agents. The proposed algorithm was tested on a set of 54 Euclidean benchmark instances of TSP with sizes ranging from 51 to 2392 nodes. The results were satisfactory and in the majority of the instances, the results were equal to the best known solution. The proposed algorithm ranked ninth when compared with 54 different algorithms with regard to quality of the solution.
