This study examined families caring for children with ADHD and created a model to alleviate behavior problems in at-risk preschoolers. Methods: This exploratory sequential mixed-methods study comprised two phases. Phase 1 included a qualitative retrospective survey that examined family experiences in caring for ADHD children. This involved in-depth interviews with 14 family caregivers (FCGs) and utilized thematic content analysis. Phase 2 involved creating, implementing, and evaluating a family skill development model using a quasi-experimental design. Thirty FCG-ADHD at-risk preschool child dyads, utilizing services at two Child Development Clinics, were paired and equally divided into experimental and control groups. Data analysis used repeated measures ANOVA and covariances (ANCOVA). The study FCGs reported that family-child interactions and positive parenting alleviated the ADHD at-risk preschool child's behavior problems. The Family Skill Development for ADHD Behavior Problem Alleviation Model was constructed and validated. Results from within-group comparisons showed significant improvements in the experimental group, with reduced behavior problems (p<0.05, ηp 2 =0.28) in ADHD at-risk children, improved caregiver behaviors to alleviate the child's behavior problems (p<0.01, ηp 2 =0.37), and enhanced family functions (p< 0.001, ηp2=0.42). The model significantly aids families in alleviating behavior problems in ADHD at-risk children, improving family functions and caregivers' efforts to address the children's behavioral issues. It is a promising parental intervention model for fostering healthy families and reducing behavior problems in ADHD-at-risk preschool children in northeastern Thailand and similar contexts.

Methods: This present research uses Thematic Content Analysis (TCA) for carrying out the qualitative study to analyze the feedback of primary caregivers of children with ADHD aged between 6 and 9 years. The ADHD-affected children were using the services of the Child Development Clinic (CDC). Data was collected using the in-depth interview guide. Results: Based on the data obtained from 14 dyads of a primary caregiver and a child with ADHD, two study themes emerged. The first one was related to the behavioral problems of the ADHD children, for which the family caregivers reported three categories: 1) impulsitivity, characterized by being hot-headed, aggressive, impatient, and lacking caution; 2) inattention, reflected by having a short attention span, a lack of self-discipline, forgetfulness, and a lack of due diligence; and 3) hyperactivity, denoted as being energetic and restless. The second theme encompassed the family's response behaviors and family-child interactions; most family caregivers indicated that they provided the child with opportunities to perform day-to-day self-services and help with home chores. They also encouraged the child to learn to develop creativity, perform meditation for mindfulness, and practice exercise, by inculcating positive parenting within the family. Children with ADHD in Thailand presented three behavioral problems: impulsitivity, inattention, and hyperactivity. Their family response behaviors were to decrease behavioral problems while enhancing the affected child's capacity, health, and well-being. Results also suggested that strengthening positive family-child interactions and positive parenting in a family were important key strategies in taking care of children with ADHD.

Children's thoughts and feelings during hospitalization is the beginning point of their behavior ... more Children's thoughts and feelings during hospitalization is the beginning point of their behavior both positive and negative. There are the negative behaviors appear during hospitalization such as aggressive, fear, and hyperactivity. The behaviors mentioned will occur when children do not receive responsibility as they think and feel. Therefore, listening to children's thoughts and feelings via their report through projective technique is very important. Children report that they are bored, lonely, and sadness during hospitalization; meanwhile, they would like to tell their requirement to nurse in order to cope with their thoughts and feelings. Children's requirements during hospitalization are the requirement of protection and the requirement of companions. From this empirical data, nurse can use data to develop nursing for children. For this reason, this paper aim to present the nursing management for children during hospitalization which appropriate and harmonize with children's requirement and development to decrease their negative thoughts and feelings to the hospitalization and decrease their negative reactions and behaviors which will occur to children. This nursing management will bring to the cooperation and decrease children's anti-behavior; furthermore, it will encourage the treatment efficiency for other cases.

Toddler childhood patient age 2-3 years amount 70 persons are selected by using simple random sample. The control group amount 35 persons are splint of intravenous site by general care. The experimental group amount 35 persons are splint of intravenous site by multicolour protector cloth. Instruments consisted of multicolour protector cloth. It uses for splint on the position of intravenous infusion with a nice form and beautiful color for positive reinforcement according to the Skinner's theory of behavior modifi cation. The instruments is developed, test and develop until it can be used on ward. The cooperative behavior observation of toddler childhood patient who receive intravenous therapy are examined the quality from 3 experts and validity test by using the alpha coeffi cient has reliability 0.87.
