Salah satu sekolah di Kelurahan Tanjung Hulu yang menghasilkan sampah setiap harinya adalah SD Ne... more Salah satu sekolah di Kelurahan Tanjung Hulu yang menghasilkan sampah setiap harinya adalah SD Negeri 24 Pontianak Timur dimana secara rutin setiap hari selalu dibuang ke TPS sehingga mengalami penumpukan sampah. SD tersebut akhirnya memutuskan untuk membakar sendiri sampah yang dihasilkan setiap harinya. Proses pembakaran dilakukan secara manual dan ini akan sangat berbahaya jika terdapat sampah dengan jenis yang mudah terbakar. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan penyuluhan pemilahan sampah agar lingkungan sekolah lebih bersih dan aman. Sasaran program pengabdian yaitu siswa SD Negeri 24 Pontianak Timur. Penyuluhan ini berguna untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan bagi siswa SD tentang pentingnya pemilahan sampah, sumber sampah, dampak sampah bagi lingkungan maupun kesehatan manusia, serta pentingnya pembuangan sampah sesuai dengan jenisnya. It causes the market conditions to become congested. Therefore, it cannot be denied that the existing main roads are definetly affected by this condition. For this reason, the performance of the roads needs to be further reviewed since they are openly accessed by the community also due tothe influence of Teratai Market activities. A descriptive method is used in this studyby surveying the conditions of the Komyos Sudarso road. The calculation is carried out based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. The results of this study shows that the activities of the Teratai Market greatly affect road capacity resulting in the increased of traffic volume. Purpose The purpose of this study was to discover the influence of smoke haze on the incidence o... more Purpose The purpose of this study was to discover the influence of smoke haze on the incidence of pneumonia in uder-five children in Pontianak. Method An ecological study was conducted using time trend analysis, correlation and multiple linear regression analysis on data of under-five children diagnosed with pneumonia following primary health care and meeting WHO criteria in Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (MTBS) in Pontianak from January 2010 to January 2014. Results The study found that smoke haze had no directly effects on the incidence of pneumonia in under-five children in Pontianak. Instead, pneumonia in under-five children is influencecd by seasons, while smoke haze is affected by the season, especially during the dry season. Conclusion Pneumonia disease in under-five children could influenced by season. PDAM Kecamatan Sungai Kakap sampai saat ini belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih tersebut karena Intake PDAM hanya berada + 3 km dari muara sungai Kakap yang selalu terintrusi air asin. Intake PDAM harus berada pada salinitas terendah atau kurang dari 0,5‰. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan evaluasi kebutuhan air bersih dan potensi sumber air sungai Jawi yang dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Peningkatan status kesehatan masyarakat dilakukan pada semua kontinum siklus kehidupan, satu di antaranya pada usia anak sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar terhadap kesehatan lingkungan sekolah yang dibina oleh Puskesmas Wilayah Kerja Sungai Raya Dalam, Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Analisis tingkat pemahaman siswa diketahui melalui metode survei menggunakan 20 butir soal tes pilihan berganda berdasarkan empat faktor, yaitu tingkat ekologi sekolah, lingkungan kelas, kantin, dan perilaku sehat dalam tingkat individu. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 140 siswa dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah proportionate stratified random sampling. Tenik Penilaian menggunakan penilaian acuan norma dengan mengacu pada kategori skala lima. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman siswa sekolah Dasar di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Raya Dalam tentang kesehatan lingkungan sekolah termasuk dalam kategori sedang, yaitu berada pada interval 64,565-81,505 dengan nilai rata-rata 73,04. Pemahaman siswa akan meningkat lebih baik tidak hanya melalui kegiatan penyuluhan kesehatan, namun juga harus didukung dengan infrastruktur sanitasi sekolah yang baik dan kebijakan yang dikeluarkan oleh sekolah untuk mewujudkan upaya pendidikan kesehatan yang berkualitas.
