However, pre-test results showed that a sizable proportion of Grade 11 students at Xavier University-Senior High School fared badly, raising concerns about their muscle fitness and overall health. The purpose of this study was to look into how a 13week Modern Arnis training program affected push-up performance. The study comprised 1,000 Grade 11 students who underwent Modern Arnis instruction as part of their curriculum, and it employed a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest action research technique. Push-up repetitions were counted before and after fitness assessments to track development. The findings demonstrated a significant improvement in push-up ability after training, indicating the potential of martial arts-based therapies to improve physical fitness. However, limitations such as self-reporting accuracy and improper execution of movements may affect assessment reliability. Future studies should explore strategies to enhance data validity and investigate additional benefits of Modern Arnis training on overall health and fitness.

This qualitative research study aimed to assess feedback from peer reviewers and the experiences of learners in utilizing learning packets. The study included three peer reviewers with expertise in Education and Physical Education (PE), as well as six PE learners enrolled in the fourth quarter of School Year 2022-23. The peer reviewers diligently evaluated the learning packets, focusing on content, pedagogy, language, illustration, and perceived inclusion. During the implementation phase, the six PE learners, particularly those engaged in Modern Arnis, actively participated. The findings emphasized the significance of a systematic evaluation process that comprehensively scrutinizes all aspects of the learning packet to ensure its effectiveness during implementation. It was also found crucial to engage peer reviewers with expertise in Education and Physical Education during the evaluation process. Furthermore, the learners' experiences revealed three pivotal themes: learning through different approaches, active involvement in the learning process, and overall learning satisfaction. Building upon these findings, the researcher enhanced the learning packet to cater to the diverse needs of learners and enhanced their engagement within the Modern Arnis class. Moreover, this study highlights the importance of evaluating and effectively implementing learning packets to meet the dynamic requirements of learners. Future researchers in Physical Education are encouraged to explore other sports-related learning packets and evaluate their implementation.

It suggests that we are citizens of the world, not just of specific nations or cultures. This perspective promotes tolerance, understanding, and respect for diverse cultures and beliefs.

This blurred understanding on the purpose of fitness testing may ripple the effect to problems like wasting allocated time for PE subject, misdirection of learning process, or worst physical injuries. The purpose of this study was to explore the purpose of fitness testing as evolved throughout time. The findings of this study revealed that fitness testing (purpose) served as (1) a component of natural selection – it was used for survival and mating processes, (2) an assessment of ones positionality – to understand strengths and weaknesses, and (3) a progressive assessment in physical education – an inclusive practice to assess health. Therefore, fitness testing is an inevitable component of human development, as human progress holistically, so as the fitness testing. If the demand and the usage change, so is the purpose of fitness testing. Educational agencies should prioritize training, guidelines, and all the support to the PE teachers in understanding the current purpose of fitness testing that is a progressive assessment in physical education and should ensure that teachers promote and promulgate this understanding to the learners to implement fitness testing efficiently.
