Utilizing purposive sampling, a specific section rich in coordinating and subordinating conjunctions is examined to unravel their profound impact. The prevalence of conjoined phrases, clauses, and connectors, alongside subordinating conjunctions like "and," "or," "but," and "so," is meticulously scrutinized. The findings reveal the strategic use of these linguistic elements, such as "and" and "or," for balance and contrast, enhancing the narrative's aesthetic appeal. Conjoined clauses, particularly with "and," contribute to depth and comprehension. Conjoined connectors, including "and," "but," and "or," wield diverse stylistic influences, fostering continuity, conflict, and uncertainty. Subordinating conjunctions like "so" and "because" establish harmony, contrast, and causality, weaving a rhythmic narrative that conveys urgency and excitement, ultimately unraveling the intricate tapestry of coordination and subordination in "Estrangement."

Christianity's survival was threatened by Islam's growing political power. Soon Islam became a threat to Christianity's spiritual, political, and social self-satisfaction. This was the genesis and use of Orientalism by Westerners for a long time to tarnish Islam's image and Prophet Muhammed (SAW). This phenomenon was sustained for many centuries. However, this phenomenon was soon dispelled by the 18th century when it became apparent that Islamic studies could not be separated from other disciplines. This view may help us to see the contribution of Orientalism to Islam. The 20th-century Orientalism was dominated by the Islamic scientific works of the Orientalists. These had a profound impact on Islamic studies in Muslim countries around the globe. Some Muslim scholars argue that the purpose of studying Islam in Europe and Muslim cultures in Europe during medieval times was to primarily apologize. This paper therefore examines orientalism's impact on the Muslims world. It reviews the history of Orientalism, its development and its impact on the Muslim World. It was discovered that these false representations of Islam have been deliberately produced historically, as Edward Said and other Western scholars have demonstrated. This is to ensure that the West continues its cultural and political dominance over Muslims.

The play is an adaptation of Sophocles' famous Greek classic tragedy 'Oedipus Rex' but with an African traditional background. Its artistic framework including the plot preoccupation, style, characters, and setting of the play is particularly rooted in the African-Yoruba traditional worldview. The Deconstruction theory was adopted as the theoretical framework for the study. The work presents an objective text-based analysis of supernatural forces in the play with the knowledge of the Yoruba societal worldview and belief system. Findings of the study revealed that the thematic notion of destiny and fate embodies the manifestation of supernatural forces in the text. The Ifa priest, Ogun priest, and others like them are portrayed in the text as mouthpieces of the gods. Their role in representing these supernatural forces is limited to speaking or reporting for the gods. Also, deified supernatural forces such as Ogun, Obatala, and Orunmila, among others, are also represented in the text and ascribed different roles in the dramatic universe of Ola Rotimi's play. The study concluded that the representation of supernatural forces in Rotimi's play is a testimony to Rotimi's immense knowledge of African culture, his skillful and unique transmogrification of Sophocles' Oedipus Rex into a completely well-woven African drama with a deeply rooted Yoruba traditional worldview. It also acknowledges the superiority and inevitability of fighting against these supernatural forces and their indomitable significance in traditional African society. It was recommended among others, that an understanding of the roles and significance of supernatural forces in the play can help people generally to understand that it is good to seek guidance, hide warnings, and most importantly, teach young people of nowadays that every action has a consequence and thus it is important to exercise patience and think things through in every situation before taking any step(s).

It has often been thought that putting an end to prejudice is crucial in ensuring relative everlasting social and political agreement among these various groups. Religion, given the significant influence it has, over time, continue to have on the life of Nigerian citizen have a very crucial role to play in the realization of this goal. This study examined the elimination of prejudice as a panacea for enabling and enhancing religious understanding in Nigeria. It explores the concept of prejudice, religious understanding, the relationship between both phenomena, the various approaches to religious understanding, and the historical trajectory of the nexus between prejudice and religion in Nigeria. Findings of the study reveal that religious conflicts play a greater role in manifesting and promoting prejudice, its resultant violence, and civil unrest in the country. The study concluded that years of civil war and faith-related conflicts in the country’s history have immensely contributed to the continuous existence of deep-rooted prejudice in the country. It was recommended among others that the bulk of the task remains the responsibility of religious leaders and clergies who, now, more than ever before, need to be more committed to encouraging oneness rather than promoting differentiation among the various sects/denominations of their religion. The role to be played by traditional leaders, social and political leaders, and stakeholders in eliminating prejudice and enhancing religious understanding in the country have also been clearly defined.

Hence, a majority of the present generation has been deluded to belief that Northerners, showed no interest in western education during the colonial years which is the reason for the backwardness plaguing the northern education system in contemporary times. This is however a misplaced fact which desperately needs to be refuted to further shed light on the genesis of the problem of backwardness in northern education system in Nigeria. In a bid to achieve this, this paper revisits the historical development of education in Northern Nigeria, critically from P. K. Tibenderana's (1978) standpoint. It revealed the carnages done to the northern education system since its inception, the perpetrators, subsequent efforts to salvage it prior to Nigeria's independence to little avail, the socio-cultural, political challenges that has overtime evolved and has directly or indirectly continued plaguing the system till date.

The study employed a qualitative approach. The data for the study were obtained using test tools (essay writing and dictation) and questionnaires. In all, sixty participants (both males and females) were used for this study. The theory of error analysis was used for identification, classification and interpretation of data as well as conclusion. The result identified six types of errors namely: omission, addition, substitution, inversion, pronunciation and miscellaneous out of which omission errors were committed most. Findings revealed that students in Junior Secondary Schools had a problem with spelling which can be attributed to their poor performance at the Basic Education level, and as a result of low level of proficiency in L2, mother tongue interference and so forth. The study therefore provided pedagogical suggestions that could help the second language teacher in solving these problems if properly managed. However, it should be noted that this research has only examined spelling errors at the junior secondary level of education and therefore suggests that further researches be conducted to investigate spelling errors in other levels of education such as senior secondary schools and tertiary institutions which were not captured in this study.

Ranganathan (Shiyali Ramamritra Ranganathan), who is often regarded as the Father of Library Science in India, was born in Shiyali, a small village in the Tanjavoor district of Tamilnadu state on 9th August 1892. He was an inventor, educator, librarian and a philosopher (Kumar 1992). He aims to apply scientific method and principles to different areas of library science. His Laws of Library Science was published in 1931. This is a classic work, which describes in detail the Five Laws of Library Science and their implications on library activities. These laws have provided a scientific approach to library science. Most librarians worldwide accept them as the foundations of the philosophy of their work and service in the library. The Five Laws of Library Science are some of the most influential concepts in the field. Since they were published in 1931, these five laws "have remained a centrepiece of professional values..." (Rubin 2004). These basic theories of Library Science continue to directly impact the development of this discipline and the service of all libraries.
This study discussed these laws with focus their relevance to the study of library and information science.

Nigerian creatives as implied in the titled are Nigerian professionals especially in the field of business/organisational management and administration and other related fields.
Nigerian professionals, in the context of this discussion, include external consultants, researchers, accountants, engineers, medical doctors, top-level public servants, top level managers in private organizations, managers of public corporations, academics and several other high-level professionals. In the words of Ogundele, Adebakin and Hassan (2016), for a research to be relevant to the purposes of this type of discourse, it must be scientific. However, this type of scientific investigation is most at times, empirical. This means that if the scientist believes something, he must somehow put his belief to a test outside himself. This is confirmed by Kerlinger in Ogundele, et al (2016) who states that "subjective belief must be checked against objective reality".
Consequently, matching the requirements of scientific research with definition of professionals, it is no doubt that Nigerian professionals play an important role in undertaking researches in comparative management.
This paper discuss the role play by Nigerian creatives in undertaking research in comparative management with the aid of literature review of various researches by Nigeria creatives in comparative management.

The theory Z was introduced in the 1980s by William Ouchi as the Japanese consensus style. He argued that western organisations could learn from their Japanese counterparts. In 1981 William Ouchi, of Japanese heritage, wrote his book ‘Theory Z: How American Business can meet the Japanese Challenge’. According to Ouchi, the theory Z promotes stable employment, high productivity and high morality and employee satisfaction. The loyalty of employees is increased by offering them a job for life with a strong focus on employee well-being both on the job as well as in their private lives.
Theory Z represents a humanistic approach to management. Although it is based on Japanese management principles, it is not a pure form of Japanese management. Instead, Theory Z is a hybrid management approach combining Japanese management philosophies with U.S. culture. In addition, Theory Z breaks away from McGregor's Theory Y. Theory Y is a largely psychological perspective focusing on individual dyads of employer-employee relationships while Theory Z changes the level of analysis to the entire organization.
According to Professor Ouchi, Theory Z organizations exhibit a strong, homogeneous set of cultural values that are similar to clan cultures. The clan culture is characterized by homogeneity of values, beliefs, and objectives. Clan cultures emphasize complete socialization of members to achieve congruence of individual and group goals. Although Theory Z organizations exhibit characteristics of clan cultures, they retain some elements of bureaucratic hierarchies, such as formal authority relationships, performance evaluation, and some work specialization. Proponents of Theory Z suggest that the common cultural values should promote greater organizational commitment among employees.
This paper discusses Ouchi’s Theory Z and its relevance in comparative management.

In the opinion of Eze, Eluwa and Nwobodo (2010), this imbalance as pointed out by many scholars in the field of marketing and business circles in general appear to tilt towards the advantage of producers, who are strengthened by the tradition maxim “caveat emptor” (let the buyer beware) and the ever-changing and growing free market philosophy which tend to put the producers and suppliers at liberty to do whatever they want to do.
The Nigerian consumers as a result of this knowledge imbalance had over the years suffered so much in the hands of producers and suppliers of goods and services with whom they were engaged in trade relationships in terms of supplying sub-standard goods and services, fake and expired products. Fake products in the opinion of Nkamnebe, Idoko and Kalu (2009) are those goods and services that fail to meet up to the promised specification, conformance and performance quality. They posited that consumer protection became an important area of interest because of the knowledge imbalance coupled with the sophistication of consumer products which made it difficult for consumers to ascertain and distinguish the genuine products from fake and substandard ones.
This write-up aims to discuss the effects of consumer financial protection of financial inclusion in Nigeria in line with the findings of the World Bank Diagnostic Review of Financial Consumer Protection (in Nigeria) (2017).

Literary piece (such as novels) somehow contain meaning of style with language; effectively manipulated in ways that signal it as different from " ordinary " language. A stylistic analysis of Chimamanda Adichie's " Purple Hibiscus " (2003) and Chinua Achebe's " Anthills of the Savannah " (1987) is carried out to educate, explicate and expose everybody that come across this paper, in guiding them on how to analyse and understand these prose texts. It also examines the uniqueness of stylistics as it concerns both the combination of linguistics and literary study of the texts being reviewed. The data used to illustrate and substantiates our claims are systematically sourced from the selected Nigerian prose texts earlier mentioned. The lexico-semantic patterns and choices, the phonological, morphological, syntactic and graphological devices are the main stylistic elements coupled with rigorous in-depth analysis of the figurative language employed in selected prose texts which are used to prove our claims. Finally, we find that each of the elements however, has identifiable functions which contribute to the effective meaning of the texts. Therefore, it can be concluded that these elements trigger and play important roles in passing the intention of the writers/authors across their audience. Comparatively, this research discovers that Adichie borrows a lot from Achebe's manner of writing in simple free-flow linguistic and stylistic presentations, there is, nevertheless, a wide disparity in their sexist beliefs and ideological orientations. This implies that; while Achebe tends towards phallocentric predilection, Adichie subtly differs by pitching a camp with her gender lot – Feminism. This creates a wide valley between the two mountains.
