In this article I will attempt to explore the historical origins of the word empathy and the evolutions that it has undergone up to the present day, in our country and in our social context. We will see how the current formulation of the concept of empathy raises questions which, I think, we must all work on so that we can find a new way of rethinking this instrument starting from some limits which unfortunately are ignored too often and which, inevitably , they are negatively affected in the professional's work.

especially that inherent to the autistic
spectrum disorder, requires us to
constantly reflect on the effort that the
auxiliary teacher and more generally all
the operators who carry out educational
or pedagogical tasks whose object is the
success of a healthy teaching plan of the
autistic child, must put in place so that
he does not remain trapped between his
own unconscious psychic defenses,
those of the school class and those of
the school in general. This article is an
invitation to ask yourself some
questions that highlight with more
energy what basically hinders the
relationship of the auxiliary teacher
with the autistic child.
