I currently research Afghan migration post 2001 looking in particular at the extent to which conflict and the international presence both military and humanitarian, impact on migration decisions.
I have been studying Afghanistan related issues since 2003 with specific focus on forced migration and gender issues. Throughout the last ten years I carried out extensive, regular fieldwork both in Afghanistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, gaining knowledge on
socio-cultural dynamics and political dimensions.
Advocate of rigorous research methodologies and methods.
